| (Objective)As one of highest morbidity of malignant tumor, gastric cancer endangers people's health in China. The research on precancerous lesions of gastric cancer will be significant both in prevention and treatment of the disease. Because of the unknown of the cause of the disease, there is no satisfactory therapeutic way in modern medicine so far. Although TCM has made an impressive progress in the research of this field, there still remains a lot of problems, and without any break-through. Further TCM research needs to be carried out, especially through molecular biology, since most of the previous researches remain only in clinical reports or without any strict scientific designs.Through clinical observation and experimental research, the paper has observed cellular molecular biology index of the prophase pathologic tissues in different periods and syndromes, which will supply instructions for syndrome diagnosis, treatment principals, and clinical herbal uses, discovered also the regularity of TCM differentiation and molecular biological foundation of TCM syndromes, so as to facilitate the modernization of TCM syndromes by differentiations.(Methods)154 cases of precancerous lesions of gastric cancer are divided into 2 groups at random, Chinese herbal observation group (observation group blow) and Hericium tablet on market sell in control group (control group blow), among which, 106 cases in observation group, and 48 cases in control group. The observation group is once more divided into 3 groups according to differentiation types, among which, 34 cases in the pattern of blood stasis and heat toxicity ( benefiting stomach I ), 43 cases in the pattern of Yin deficiency with heat ( benefiting stomach II), 29 cases in the pattern of Qi and Yin deficiency ( benefiting stomach III). We supply respectively benefiting stomach I -III to the patients of blood stasis and heat toxicity, Yin deficiency with heat, and Qi-Ym deficiency, while Hericium tablet is for those in control group. We fix 3 months as one treatment course, and two courses scheduled for patients. All the medicine that may affect this clinical research should be withdrawed during the treatment. Research items include clinical manifestation, endoscope sign, tissue pathogenesis, the expressive condition of relative cell factors (epidermal growth factor, receptor of epidermal growth factor, transforming growth factor a), the expressive condition of relative gene of stomach mucous membrane tissue ( ras primary cancer gene p21 and cancer suppressor gene p!6 ), relative cell factor of stomach mucous membrane and the expressive condition of relative gene in different TCM syndromes, as well as changing condition of different index after the treatment by series of benefiting stomach prescriptions.(Results)1. The results of clinical experiment illustrate that the general effect in observation group applied by series of benefiting stomach prescriptions according to differentiation is superior to those in control group, and different patterns also respectively superior to those in control group. In observation group, the relief of different symptoms by Chinese herbs, especially the adjustment of gastro-intestinal dynamia are superior obviously to those in control group.2. The evaluation on effect of endoscope discovered that in observation group the effective rate in the improvement of the sign of endoscope is obviously higher than those in control group, among which the improvement of granular proliferation and bill regurgitation becomes more obvious. The evaluation on pathogenic effect also discovered that in observation group the atrophy of mucous membrane, enteromalacia, and the integral of parahyperplasia are obviously lower after treatment, which there is significant difference comparing with that before treatment, moreover those decreases in the atrophy of mucous membrane, enteromalacia, and the integral of parahyperplasia showed obviously difference comparing with those in control group.3.
