IObiectivel To prove reinforcing qi, clearing heat, and activating blood has the function of taking a turn for the worse process of Gastric Precancerous Lesions, which was found firstly by the author's research group before. Made a composition of prescription named Ren-zhu Jianwei granula to supplement the space of the drug treating this disease, and explored the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) rationales, the ancient and modern clinical and experimental research status and the possible rationale. IMethodsl All methods of literature, clinical and experimental research were used. Literature research included summarizing the understanding of TCM about etiology, pathogenesis and therapeutical principle of Gastric Precancerous lesions by consulting ancient and modern medical data, and then systematically analyzing the granula's indications, therapeutical rationales and ancient and modern clinical utilization. Clinical research was to statistically analyze the clinical data. 130 cases of Gastric Precancerous Lesions according to Modern Medical and TCM's diagnosis standard were randomly divided into two groups. One is therapy group for Renzhu Jianwei granula (88 cases), and the other is control group for Weifuchun Tablet (42 cases). Experimental research included testing p53 gene and ras gene of gastric mucosa treated by Renzhu Jianwei granula or Weifuchun tablet, and observed the point mutation, and researching the Renzhu Jianwei granula's inhibition of mouse cutaneous papillomatosis induced by 7,1 2-dimethyl benzanthraceneTcroton oil. IResultsl From literature research it was discovered that the infection of Helicobacter pylon play an important role in the development of Gastric Precancerous Lesions. Chinese herbal medicine has the function of eradicating H. pylon, which has been emphasized step by step. As to modern medicine, tracing and observing are the prominent methods. Once it accompanied with dysplasia and was apt to cancer, operation was considered. Today differential agent hasn't been used in clinic. Although treatment with syndrome differentiation was prominent in TCM, but reinforcing qi, clearing heat, and activating blood has been emphasized. From Clinical research it was discovered that the effective rate of therapy group was 92.0%, and that of control group was 73.8%. It appeared the difference was significant after analyzing the whole curative effect (P<0.01). In therapy group, the curative effect of clinic was 94.3%. In control group it was 78.6%. In therapy group the curative effect of gastroscope, atrophy and intestinal metaplasis were 73.9%, 79.5% and 80.8%. In control group, these numbers were 52.4%, 59.5% and 62.5%. The difference was significant (P<0.0 5). In therapy group, the patients with infection of H. pylon alleviating occupied 65.4%. In control group the number was 48.3%. From experiment research it was discovered that p53 gene and ras gene of gastric mucosa had some point mutation. After treating, the mutation rate of p53 of therapy group was 25.9%, while control group the number is 55.5%, and the difference was significant (P
