Object To exaluate the relationship between the expression of Ki67 antigen (Ki67), Matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2), Tissue Inhibitor of Matrix metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2), CD147 , Laminin receptor (LN-R) with cavernons invasive of pituitary adenomas.Methods The expression of Ki67 protein, MMP-2 protein, TIMP-2 protein, CD147 protein, LN-R protein in tissue samples from 60 pituitary adenomas was examined by immunohistochemical method.Immunostaining was semiquantatively scored based on intensity (0-3) and distribution (0-3) .Results Sixty patients.Thirty-two patients were femal and twenty-eight were male.30 patients showed cavernous invasion, and 30 noninvasion.The MMP -2, CD147, LN-R score of pituitary adenomas patients with cavernous invasion was significantly higher than that without invasion (P<0.01). But the TIMP-2 score of pituitary adenomas patients with cavernous invasion was significantly lower than that without invasion (P<0.01) . No correlation was observed between macroadenomas and micoadenomas, and also, no correlation between the functional adenomas and non-functional adenomas (P>0.05) .Positive correlation was not found between the MMP-2 and Ki67 labeling index (P>0.05) .
