Study Of The Expression Of Toll Like Receptor4 In Human Pancreas And The Association Between Toll Like Receptor 4 Polymorphism And Acute Pancreatitis

Objective:To study the expression of Toll like receptor 4(TLR4) in human pancreas. Methods: The expression of TLR4 was determined by Immunohistochemistry in 20 human pancreases. Results: The expression of TLR4 was detected in epitheliumof pancreatic duct, vascular endothelium, islet and acinar cells. Conclusions: The expression of TLR4 distributes in the endocrine and exocrine part of human pancreas, suggesting that human pancreas may have the background of TLR4 participating in the pathogenesis of pancreatic disease.
