Osteonecrosis of femoral head define to a series pathological process following the death of living cell(including osteocyte, marrow cell and adipocyte). The essence of osteonecrosis of femoral head is the existing necrosis of bone trabecula and morrow tissue. Soon after the reparative response occurred in the necrotic area, necrotic bone trabeculae gradually be absorped, The lesion regions exhibit substantially reduced biomechanical strength, It leads to collapse of the femoral head and eventual arthritis of the hip joint It is of two types: Traumatic osteonecrosis and Non-traumatic osteonecrosi. In traumatic osteonecrosis, which is a well-known complication of femoral neck fractures and hip dislocations. In non-traumatic osteonecrosis is secondary to corticosteroid and alcoholism use. Non-traumatic osteonecrosis patients afflicated are relatively young, generally affects patients in the third to fourth decades of life, bilateral osteonecrosis of the hip accounts for about 40 to 80% of all cases of avascular necrosis of the femoral head. According to natural history of osteonecrosis, Reports have indicated that progression to collapse occurs within 1 to 3 years after the onset of...
