This thesis mainly reported the studies on chemical constituents and their antibacterial activities of two Chinese herbs distributed in Guizhou province as Glechoma longituba (Nakai) Kupr and Dendrolobium triangulare (Retz.) Schindl. The chemical constituents were isolated and repeatedly purified on column chromatography and identified on the basis of analysis of their physicochemical and spectroscopic evidences. The antibacterial activities were tested by the KB.29 compounds were isolated from Glechoma longituba., in which 25 compounds were identified as lauric acid (LQC-1), β-sitosterol (LQC-2), betulin (LQC-3), butulinc acid (LQC-4), stigma-4-en-3, 6-dione (LQC-6), oleanolic acid (LQC-7), ursolic acid (LQC-8), tetracosanoic acid (LQC-9), succinic acid (LQC-10), 1, 8-epoxy-7 (11)- germacr-en-5-one-12, 8-olide (LQC-11), 2a, 3a-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid (LQC-12), 2a, 3β -dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid (LQC-13), 1, 10; 4, 5-diepoxy~germacren-12, 8-olide (LQC-14), 2a, 3a, 24-trihydroxyursa-12-en-28-oic acid (LQC-15), daucosterol (LQC-16), 3, 6-Dimethoxy-6" , 6"-dimethylchromeno-(7, 8, 2", 3")-flavone (LQC-20), genkwanin (LQC-21), uvaol (LQC-22), hydroxydammarenone- II (LQC-23), dammardienol (LQC-24), succinic acid (LQC-25), maleic acid (LQC-26), apigenin-7-O-glucopyranoside (LQC-27), luteolin-7-O-glucopyranoside (LQC-28) and rosmarinic acid (LQC-29) by spectral evidences. Besides compound LQC-2, LQC-8, LQC-27 and LQC-28, others were obtained from this plant for the first time. The LQC-11 is a new and novel compound. The antibacterial activities of the extact parts and compounds from Glechoma longituba were testded by the KB. The results indicated the all extract fractions of Glechoma longituba had the antibacterial activity. Resistance to Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella bacillus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa can be inhibited by the ethyl alcohol extract fraction. The ethyl acetate extract of Glechoma longituba can inhibit the development of Staphylococcus aureus, Resistance to Staphylococcus aureus, Resistance to Klebsiella pneumoniae, Resistance to Eschericbia coli, Salmonella bacillus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The butanol extract can inhibit the growth of Resistance to Klebsiella pneumoniae. The derivates of ursolic acid from the ethyl acetate fraction can control the growth of...
