Oncogene, tumour suppressor gene p53 and proto-oncogene c-myc, is involved in modulating cell growth and differenti-tation and their alterations are more frequently among human cancers. Many kinds of oncogenes including p53 and c-myc mutations, abnormal expression are associated with pathogenesis and progression of acute leukemia, because infrequent mutations, abnormal expression of oncogenes might be main causes of aberrant proliferation and development of drug resistance of AL cells. In order to study expression of p53, c-myc and its relationship of each other as well as influence on diagnosis, progression and prognosis of AL, 40 patients were analysed in this paper.
