The prediction test of (?)s chemical components show s that it containes sterides, flavone, organic acid , Phenols , coumarin , la ctone , saccharide, glycoside, etc. As a result of Preyer's reflex (PR)thresh old with 2kHz .4kHz and 8kHz respectively and auditory brainstem reflex (ABR)were carried out by observing the effect of different extract fraction on th e audition of guinea pigs with Gentamicin sulfate-induced deaf - deficiency m odle that showed the effected fraction is what washed down from the macropo rous resin D101 of Xianglingcao liquid with different concentration EtOH. 14compounds were separated from the activate fractions. On the basis of spectr al and chemical evidence such as UV, IR, ¹H-NMR,¹³C-NMR, 2D-NMR, MS etc., Str uctures of 10 compounds were identified as genistein, vomifolilo, p-hydroxyben zoic acid, β-daucosterol, Δ5, 22 stigmasterol-3-β-D-glycopyranoside, 5, 7-d ihydroxy-4-methoxy-flavone-7-O-β-D-glycopyranoside, stigmasterol, stitostezr ol, octacosanol, octadecoic acid. All the 10 compounds were separated from th e Crotalaria ferruginea Grah for the first time. A sensitive HPLC method has been developed to determinate the content of genistein in C. ferruginea.
