According to WHO's definition, postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP) is the skeleton disease characteristic of the estrogenic hormone decrease in combination with bone fracture risk augmentation resulted from bone absorption over bone formation leading to bone strength damage complicated by multiple reasons. WHO prognosed that half of hip fracture cases would happen in Asia over the world by 2050,while 40% of the female about 50 years old is likely to engaged in osteoporostic fracture once. China is the developing nation with the most population and senile proportion in the world.Therefore, the fundamental and clinical research of PMOP would be attached great importance by doctors and the society gradually, which would be a great project to solve by medical workers.一,ObjectivesThe TCM research of PMOP is also just unfolding, especially with respecting to PMOP treatment principles,chinese herbs formula and medication,the therapeutic results etc., the same occupation of TCM at home and aboard have made a great progress. However, the research about osteoporostic TCM syndromes seemd to be relatively fewer. PMOP is similar to the discussion about "Gu Wei","Gu Bi","Xu Lao"etc. More accurate qualitation and localization is attributed to "Gu Wei". PMOP pathogensis is related to renal deficiency, hepatic deficiency, splenic deficiency and blood stagnation, and renal defiency is the principal pathogensis. The scholar of China Professor Liu Qingsi proposed that PMOP pathogensis is characteristic of multiple deficiency, multiple blood stasis, multiple systems, multiple organs, and "three theories","three viewpoints", "three locuses" have been raised in the pathogensis of PMOR Three theories is concerned with "on Kidney dominated bone", "on correlation of kidney and spleen", "on blood stasis"; Three viewpoints is including to viewpoint of syndromes differentiation, viewpoint of integrity, viewpoint of balance; Three locuses is related to kidney, spleen, meridians and collaterals mainly, next to liver, qi and blood. In addition, in terms of the knowledge about TCM pathogenesis of PMOP and multiple-year accumulative clinical data, Professor Liu Qingsi summarized that OP syndromes differentiation is induced to four syndromes, so called deficiency of kidney-yang, deficiency of liver-kidney yin, deficiency of spleen-kidney yang, qi stagnation and blood stasis. This syndromes differentiation is so brief and clear as to be applied in clinical, which is accepted by most of scholars.This topic adopted four syndromes differentiation of PMOP, and fuzzy mathematical methods was applied to syndromes differentiation grading of PMOP patients,and to construct applicable and prospective PMOP syndromes fuzzy pattern recognition mathematics quantization model. Some conclusions were drawn.二,the research of fuzzy mathematics multistrata vague synthetical syndrome to PMOP syndromes differentiation grading(一) Methods:At first, regarding to the classic symptoms and physical signs of four PMOP syndromes raised by Professor Liu Qingsi in the book the diagnosis and therapy of OP integrated with traditional Chinese and western medicine as standards,the research classifies deficiency of kidney yang to 12 classic symptoms and physical signs, deficiency of liver-kidney yin to 11 classic symptoms and physical signs, deficiency of spleen-kidney yang to 9 classic symptoms and physical signs, and qi stagnation and blood stasis to 5 classic symptoms and physical signs. In lights of expertise weight scores statistical method, we determine the weight scores of classic symptoms and physical signs of each syndromes. And according to the clinic guidance principles of the osteoporosis treatment of new Chinese materia medica(the book<the guidance principles of clinic experimental research of new Chinese materia medica(try-out)2002>by chief- compile Zhen Youyu) ,the weight values about classical symptoms and physical signs of each syndrome is adapted to grading integral scale about the symptoms and physical signs of PMOP syndromes differentiation. In total, there are 28 classical symptoms and physical signs. In terms of the weight values cut-pointλ=0.50, grading funcition demonstrates that:i is the colony of{1, 2,…,12};{1, 2,…, 11};{1, 2,…, 9}; {1,2,…, 5} , in four syndromes respectively.12 symptoms and physical signs regarding as principal symptoms(physical signs), and 16 symptoms and physical signs regarding as secondary symptoms(physical signs) is scored gradingly in symptoms and physical signs of each syndromes. In general, grading scores are classified to 3 ranks, including gentle(V1),moderate(V2),severe(V3). According to PMOP diagnostic criteria, inclusive criteria, and exclusive criteria, there are 78 cases of postmenopausal female, age from 52 to 70 years old(average 59.8 year old),postmenopausal time limitation 1~17 yeas(average 13.5 years).The cases are concerned with 26 cases of deficiency of kidney yang, 18 cases of deficiency of liver-kidney yin,18 cases of deficiency of spleen-kidney, 16 cases of qi stagnation and blood stasis.(二)Results:1. Firstly, the grading intergral scores of classical symptoms and physical signs of the above mentioned four syndromes,and weight values of each symoptoms and physical sighs, are evluated by the first class vague synthetical syndrome according to grading integral scale of PMOP syndromes differentiation symptoms and physical signs. According to the theory of vague synthetical syndrome, the results of fuzzy matrix multiplication calculation are such as follows:①the judgement results of deficiency of kidney yang:B1=(0.153, 0.619, 0.227);②the judgement results-of deficiency of liver-kidney yin:B2=(0.366, 0.323, 0.311);③the judgement results of deficiency of spleen-kidney yang:B3=(0.253, 0.417, 0.330);④the judgement results of qi stagnation and blood stasis:B4=(0.212, 0.469, 0.319).2. Secondly, the above mentioned results of the first-class vague synthetical syndrome are evaluated by the second vague synthetical syndrome next. In terms of the multiplication theory of vague synthetical syndrome matix synthesis,the second-class comprehensive judgement result:B=(0.230 0.488 0.281);三,PMOP syndromes fuzzy pattern recognition mathematical model construction(一) Methods:The research of the part adopts direct recognition method in fuzzy pattern recognition methods in combination with maximum attached degree principles and threshold value principles applied to PMOP syndromes differentiation research, so as to construct a PMOP syndromes differentiation mathematical quantitative model in success.According to the dissertation 1/PA1,02.Fuzzy pattern recognition attached function construction in deficiency of liver-kidney yin: attached function in deficiency of liver-kidney yin A2 (x) =PA2/PA2,0;3.Fuzzy pattern recognition attached function construction in deficiency of spleen-kidney yang: attached function in deficiency of spleen-kidney yang A3 (x) =PA3/PA3,0;4.Fuzzy pattern recognition attached function construction in qi stagnation and blood stasis: attached function in qi stagnation and blood stasis A4 (x) =PA4/PA4,0;5.at the same time we construct PMOP syndromes fuzzy pattern recognition mathematical model in terms of above metioned four syndromes, and 28 classical symptoms and physical signs at first.The attached function of PMOP is deduced to :The data of one certain case is substituted for the above mentioned deduced formula(1).According to maximum attached degree principles, if Aj (x) =max {A1 (x),A2(x), A3(x),A4(x)} ,and threshold principles if Aj (x)≥0. 6, the PMOP patient is diagnosed as Aj syndromes.Formula(1) is PMOP syndromes fuzzy pattern recognition mathematical model. In terms of above mentioned formula, we substitute quantization of symptoms and physical signs for formula (1).The result of calculation determines the case attributed to the specific syndromes of PMOP four syndromes.四,ConclusionsOn the basis of PMOP TCM syndromes differentiation and clinical experience of Prof. Liu Qingsi, seeing also update fuzzy mathematical research documents of TCM syndromes, this topic firstly applies multistrata vague synthetical syndrome of fuzzy mathematics and fuzzy pattern recognition to PMOP syndromes research. Some conclusions are drawn as follows:1 .Based on PMOP TCM pathogensis cognition and many years accumulated clinical data of Prof.Liu Qingsi, the topic differentiates PMOP syndromes as four syndromes, so called deficiency of kidney yang, deficiency of live-kidney yin, deficiency of spleen-kidney yang, qi stagnation and blood stasis. Classical symptoms and physical signs of each syndromes are chosen as representative. According to expertise weight scores method, the weight values of symptoms and physical signs of each syndrome have been determined. And in terms of the clinic guidance principles of the osteoporosis treatment of new Chinese materia medica(the book<the guidance principles of clinic experimental research of new Chinese materia medica(try-out)2002>chief-compiled by Zhen Youyu) ,the weight values about classical symptoms and physical signs of each syndrome is adapted to grading integral scale about the symptoms and physical signs of PMOP syndromes differentiation.The scale classifies symptoms and physical signs as principal symptoms(physical signs) and secondary symptoms(physical signs) according to magnitude of weight values, thus it is very helpful for us to diagnose PMOP syndromes in clinic. But the scale should be applied in clinic to detect reliability and validity so as to make it more flawless, to generalize application.2.This topic firstly adopts fuzzy mathematical multistrata comprehensive judgement method to do the research of PMOP syndromes differentiation grading. In terms of maximum attached degree principle, the analysis of above mentioned results finds out: in four syndromes of PMOP, moderate degree of symptoms(physical signs) grading is majority(0.619), severe degree is the second(0.227), gentle degree is lest(0.153) in 26 cases of patients o deficiency of kidney yang; gentle degree of symptoms(physical signs) grading is majority(0.366), moderate degree is the second(0.323), severe degree is lest(0.311) in 18 cases of patients o deficiency of liver-kidney yin; moderate degree of symptoms(physical signs) grading is majority(0.417), severe degree is the second(0.330), gentle degree is lest(0.253) in 18 cases of patients o deficiency of spleen-kidney yang; moderate degree of symptoms(physical signs) grading is majority(0.469), severe degree is the second(0.319), gentle degree is lest(0.212) in 16 cases of patients of qi stagnation and blood stasis; In total moderate degree is major in PMOP syndromes differentiation grading(0.488),but severe degree is little more over gentle degree(0.281>0.230). These conclusions are based on the factor of syndromes and symptoms(physical signs). Fuzzy mathematical comprehensive judgement implements supervised pattern recognition. In terms of the theory, PMOP patients of deficiency of kidney yang, deficiency of spleen-kidney yang, qi stagnation and blood stasis, should take moderate dosage of medication to acquire better effect in clinical according to moderate degree of pathogenic condition in syndromes differentiation. However, gentle degree patients of deficiency of liver-kidney yin are major, so gentle dosage of medication should be taken to acquire better effect. 3. This topic firstly applies fuzzy pattern recognition method to do the research of PMOP syndromes differentiation diagnosis. It is constructed for a better fuzzy mathematical pattern recognition model of PMOP syndromes diagnosis. This formula should put in computer to adapt automatic fuzzy pattern recognition procedures, and structure automatic expertise system platform of fuzzy pattern recognition in PMOP syndromes.4. This topic also sets up attached function of each syndrome of PMOP, which substitute the data of specific case for the certain attached function of syndrome so as to the attached values for this syndrome.This topic is a beneficial essay in combination with fuzzy mathematical methods and TCM PMOP syndrome differentiation research.Nevertheless, concerned with linear algebra etc of high mathematics knowledge, this leads to difficulties. In addition, PMOP syndromes fuzzy mathematical pattern recognition construction function should be adapted to computerized automatic pattern recognition procedures, so as to open up a new approach for more objective, quantitative, standard diagnostic scales of PMOP TCM syndromes diagnosis.
