Methods The new multiple organ preservation solution-SMO solution was developed on the base of organ preservation solutions developed by Changzheng Hospital before. The effect of SMO solution on organ preservation was evaluated through the isolated miniature pig kidney cold storage model and miniature pig orthotopic liver transplantation model compared with HCA-II solution. Results SMO solution was better than HCA-II solution in long time kidney cold storage. SMO solution can maintain the hepatic functional form and protect liver microcirculation to attenuate cold injury and reperfusion injury. Conclusions The SMO solution possessed powerful buffer capacity and offered sufficient energy substrates. It maintained the high osmotic character and avoided the hyperviscosity and attenuated the cellular edema and the harm of high kalium ion concentration. At the same time, the effective traditional Chinese medicine active component was added into the SMO solution which possessed Chinese characteristic. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | organ preservation solution, organ transplantation, cold storage, reperfusion injury, animal model, miniature pig | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
