| Virtual mining of Digital Open-Pit is implemented by slicing stratum solid model according to mining process, mining method, which should meet the constraints of mine engineering development. Under virtual mining, enterprises make production decision by determining project planning position and calculating volume of striping and mining. In order to realize virtual mining of Open-pit, we must construct terrain model of Open-pit, 3D geological solid model, stope model, mining template model and classified volume calculating model. Therefore, the integration of multi-dimensional data analysis and processing of dynamic model is the key of simulation mining in the 3D virtual environment. It is also the main problem in industry and academic research.This paper presents the problems of Open-pit virtual mining in digital modeling technology. Using the 3DGM (3D Geoscience Modeling) method to study the parameter optimized selection in spatial interpolation, the rapid modeling method of Open-pit terrain DEM construction and its update, irregular geology solid model technology, terrain and geology model integration, and the implementation of simulating mining in the 3D virtual environment.Triangulation network growth algorithm is improved by data partitioning, which can be used to create Open-pit fine DEM model with constrained conditions. Another method was applied to update large scale DEM model by using added drilling data and geological reality data.This paper proposed a new technology to construct topological relationship of ore body's envelope. It can make irregular orebody envelop model solidified by reversal mapping SAT files into AutoCAD. According to the characteristic of step advancing, mining template is built by the development status of mine engineering and geometric constraint relations. Under the benches uniting and position showing, this paper presents a new virtual mining method by driving the template to slice integrated solid model continually.In the end, Surface Mine Virtual Mining Computer Aided Design System (SMCAD) is developed. This system enables mining engineers in a real three-dimensional environment, in the approach of"human-computer interaction", to realize the mining design, mining plan and mining determination. SMCAD has been tested and used successfully in several open-pit mining enterprises. |
