| PURPOSE: observing the curative effect of manipulation for regulation tendon and plucking-stretching method in decumbent position on vertebral artery type of cervical spondylopathy and the influence on X-ray and TCD. Investigating the action's mechanism.METHOD: The research method is to divide the patients (72cases) who meet the vertebral artery of cervical spondylopathy diagnostic criteria into two groups randomly: manipulation for regulation tendon and plucking-stretching method as treatment group (36cases) while traditional massage and traction as control group (36cases). We wanted to observe the cervical vertigo symptom and functional accumulated points, positive sign, x-ray and TCD changes and adverse effect for both groups on anteroposterior treatment time. We followed up for three months.RESULTS: The curative effect of manipulation for regulation tendon and plucking-stretching method in decumbent position on vertebral artery type of cervical spondylopathy is much better than the effect of traditional massage and traction (P<0.05). Our manipulations can significantly improve cervical vertigo symptom and function (P<0.01), release muscle spasm and joints' swelling and pain (P<0.01), ameliorate the blood supply of arteria basilaris (P<0.01). The treatment group didn't have any adverse effect while the prostecdtive efficacy was steady.CONCLUSION: Manipulation for regulation tendon and plucking-stretching method in decumbent position was an effective, safe and reasonable treatment for CSA. The mechanism was to adjust osseous structure of cervical vertebra via releasing muscle spasm and then to recover its balance of anterior-interior mechanism. Thus the stimulation and pressing to adrenergic nerve and verterbrartery would be relieved. The arteria basilaris's blood supply improved consequently, then the clinical therapeutic effect occurred. |
