A study on negative category is a highly theoretial subject. It involves two factors including language and non-language. With the development of functional linguistics and cognitive linguistics,more and more people concern about negation in grammar, The study on negation has its own theoretical value, it reveals the regularity of language when people understand the world. However,different nations have similarities and differences in cognition in the same semantic category, we can learn a nation's thought form the angle,. So, a study of negative category should not be ignored in Uygur gramar, If the problems that are asociated with negation is made clear, it not only definitely affect the depth and span in whole Uygur grammar, but also explain the relative problem. So, it is necessary for us to investigate the negation in modern Uygur. The study is not only helpful to deepen Uygur grammar., but also advance the construction in linguistic theory In application, It will greatly improves Uygur teaching, in the same time, it plays important role in bilingual education and language translation.The paper was divided into eight parts, the first part is an preface, it mainly introduced reason,significance,contents,methods of topic Meanwhile, We reviewed the former study on negation pointing out achievements and deficiencies. Chapter one:word formation,form formation morpheme of negation and negative words The section mainly described and analyzed word formation,form formation morpheme of negation and negative words. Word formation morpheme of negation inchudes na-,bi-,bat-,-siz, Form Formation morpheme of negation inchudes -ma/-ma. Negative words inchudes yoq,yaq,amas.Chapter two:In the first,we made a explaination in negative category from philosophy, logic, linguistics point of view, the second, interpreted differences of two types of negation in Uygur examples, the third,made a clear concept of netative setences The forth, proposed a clear definition of double negative sentences, and carrired out classification and description, the last,analysed and discussed symmetry and asymmetry between negation and positive from different points of view.Chapter three:The scope and focus of negation. In the section we investigated focus, scope and focus of negation of Uygur, the relationship between word order and focus of negation in focus theoty. We think that focus of negation and focus of negative sentence could be separated, which caused ambiguous meaning, Meanwhile, we found that word order had a very important role to determine the focus of negation, and negative marker of Uygur has bi-combination.Chapter four:Auxiliary negation, Non-native Uighur people has a major difficulty in understanding and mastering the auxiliary verb, this chapter mainly described the negative form of auxiliary verbs, then, analysed and interpreted their using.Chapter five:Pragmatic negation is occasionally occur in real life, the negation which is a language skills. In this paper, we discussed types nature, characteristics of pragmatic negation accroding to negative examples of Uygur.Chapter six:Unmarked negation in replies, Negation in replies is verbal communication behavior, the chapter summarized unmarked common negative means in replies, analysed the relationship between unmarked negation and "cooperative principle" of Pragmatics including the maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, the maxim of relevance. Finally, we analysed the motivation in using the strategy of unmarked negation in replies, summarized as follows:Firstly, taking into account the needs of the other face, secondly the need for emotional expression, the last, improving speech interesting, regulating communicative atmosphere.Conclusion:This section summarized the main contents and ideas of the paper, pointed out novelties and deficiencies, made aim clear for further study.
