A Research On The BianYin Zuan Yao

Bian yin zuan yao (1622~1624),author unknown.This Series is divided into two volumes, each volume contains four books , they are named according to the order of"yuan heng li zhen". bian yin zuan yao is rich in content, it's references, such as guang yun, ci yun , zhang yun ,zheng yun and zhongyuanyayin, are of great significance in the aspect of the history of Chinese phonectics ,particularly the phonetic study of Yuan and Ming Dynasty. This Guang yun isn't the one of Song Dynasty,Ci yun is a Rhyming Dictionary which had been lost for a long time in the academic history, and the book , Zhongyuan Yayin—one of the Zhongyuan Yinyun Series, provided valuable information for the research on Zhongyuan Yayin which had been lost.Bianyin Zuanyao are not widely circulated, perhaps never published . No other versions in the world, either. It can be seen only one version that collected in the Rare Book,The Department of ancient books, Liberia Of Northeast Normal University.As a single Writing Rhyming Dictionary,the release value of Bianyin Zuanyao is particularly important.Many sholars ,such as doctor Li Wu—wei and Ning Ji—fu have carefully studied it,but they hasn't focused on the character of the complex phonology of Bianyin Zuanyao. Based on the study of the intrinsic structure and phonology superimposition, the relationship between related books, the pronunciation history and value in the history of books and systematic research, I draw several conclusions about the superimposition of phonological features ,as follows:on the surface ,Bianyin Zuanyao Inherited Hongwu Zhengyun,it also contains thirty Consonant,twenty two Vowel.However,this series is the performance of Southern Voice system,as well as characters of Wu dialect. What the Consonant's character showed included :Keep the voiced initials,The voiceless and voiced phase confused,Lip regardless of the severities,The jing and zhuang confused,The Chan and Ri confused;It provided twenty four vowels:Yumo,HaoBao, XiaoYao, YouHou, Gege, ZhiQi, QiWei, MaShe, JIelai ; ZhongDong, JiangYang, GengQing, ZhenWen, HanShan, XianTain, JianXian, QinXun and WuZhu, JueYao , ZhiZhi, ZHiWu, YeJie, HeYe, YILi. The tone system demonstrate characteristics of ping shang qu ru Four Sound pattern,yin and yang confused in Ping, three vowel codas of Ru Sound are orderly discreted,voiced sound of Shang becomed Qu.The actual sound system of Bianyin Zuanyao is similar with modern Wu dialect ,with the same of HongWuZhengYun,this phenomenon can prove that HongWuZhengYun is based on actual Speech from another perspective.We also can find some traces of ZhongYuanYaYin in it. CiYun can also reflect another Voice system . All in all, BianYinZuanYao is a precious literature of the superposition of multiple documents,It is truly of great Value in both Linguistics and Philology.
