He is a writer who influences the readers no mater in or outside the texts and shortens the distance between narrator and the real author, narrator and the implicit author to the greatest extent. The "narrator" is an important factor to highlight the feature of texts and it is not a recorder or narrator of an objective event but a "non-objective narrator" with strong emotion of the real writer who uses the methods of discourse, explanation, review and rhetoric to get involved in the narration and tries to influence the reader which gives the texts of Ba Jin's novels the character of "non-objective narrative texts". Nobody and his small things, revolutionary legends and hero hymns are three kinds of plots of Ba Jin's novels. Ba Jin instinctively employs novel techniques to tell stories and emotional mode of binary opposition and linear narrative mode to deal with the structure of novels, the fate of characters and the details of plots, creating a novel text with smooth narration, strict structure, rich meaning and implicit characters.Narrative discourse is another factor that indicates the feature of Ba Jin's novel texts. Direct quotation and free indirect quotation are two main discourse modes of language activities of the characters in Ba Jin's novels for the purpose of strengthening the lyric effect of characters' language and enhancing the influence of the novel."Reader" is the key word of Ba Jin's writings. The attraction of Ba Jin's novel texts to readers is reflected in text type, character creation and text call. His novels are literature of telling stories of "people". There are either vivid plots with twists and turns or fascinating dramatic conflicts which are all about the fate and soul of "people". The personality of Ba Jin's characters remains simple and stable with the development of plots. Readers are deeply impressed by characters' subjectivity, internal spirit and type tendency. Although Ba Jin's novels are with coherent narration and clear meaning, there remains blank and uncertainty in language expression, plot structure and form details forming the text "call structure", expecting readers to use experience and imagination to enrich the text which gives readers the right to take part in constituting text meaning.
