Porcelain and tea set are of great importance in Chinese porcelain art, it getsalong with people's lifestyle, way of tea servicing, aesthetic judgment, as well as thetimes and spirit, and by virtue of its rich cultural connotation, it has become one ofthe most important representation of the materialized Chinese culture. China andJapan are close neighbors separated by only a strip of water, and frequent culturalexchanges can be stemmed far back from very ancient times. Chinese had exertedgreat influences over the origin and development of Japanese porcelain, tea set andtea ceremony, which gradually became an important part of Japanese daily life andthe symbol of Japanese culture, whose influence can be felt throughout the world. The discourse provides studies and analysis on the style of Chinese and Japaneseporcelain and tea set, it closely relates the development and changes in porcelain andtea set to the lifestyle and way of tea servicing with focus mainly on the developmentof Chinese and Japanese porcelain and tea set culture to provide insight and feasibleideas for the development of contemporary ceramic art and culture.Aim and objective of study:Provide in-depth study from outward appearance to inner essence over Chinese andJapanese porcelain and tea set culture, through which the process, the objectivecauses and inside cultural drives for development are to be discovered, and the closerelation between ceramic art and people's material and spiritual life is to be exploredin a view to provide beneficial inspiration and viable views over the development oftraditional arts and cultures including porcelain and the raise of people's livingstandard.New idea and result in study:1. Put closely together the evolvement of porcelain and tea set and the lifestyle in tea servicing to provide systematic and thorough studies over the style of Chinese and Japanese porcelain and tea set and aesthetic judgment.2. Analyze in great detail the evolvement and exchanges in tea culture between China and Japan with documents contained in ancient books and records, literature, paintings as well as words and pictures in great volume.3. Put forward the benefice and influence of Chinese and Japanese porcelain and tea set culture over the development of contemporary ceramic art as well as other - II -Abstract traditional art and culture, and provide feasible ideas for the artistic development of modern society and the artistic creation in daily life.Conclusion:In the post-industrial era with high level of mechanization and computerization, weshould mobilize all possible forces to guide the traditional art and culture, includingceramic art, under the animated state to benign development to "both serve the nationand its people, advance with the times". The development of traditional art andculture not only satisfies the needs in developing art and life, but also the"harmonious while different" world culture under the background of the globalizedeconomy and information sharing.
