Japanese scholars carried out the profound and careful study on the problems involved into the movement of Japanese capital in many fields such as history, historical geography, archaeology, architecture and cultural anthropology;some domestic scholars also studied cursorily on the problems of the movement of Japanese capital. However, as far as the content is concerned, all of these research just focused on the meticulous recovery of the capital and the textual criticism of the moving route of the capital instead of the relation between the capital's movement and the social development, especially the relation between several critical movement and the transformation of the social type as well as the continual and regular understanding the relation brought people. Although some discussion of this problem was carried out, the focused point at most stayed on the level of how to think of the problem of the capital's movement in the ancient. The problems related to the modern times, especially the symbol of stepping into the modern times for Japan—the regular problems of Japanese capital's movement was never mentioned till now. From more wide visual angle and bigger regulation, these phenomena mentioned above showed that this kind of study lacked creative contribution. In fact, in Japanese history, all the movements of capital were related to the social development that was reflected on two critical social transformations and the change of the intermediate during the social transformation. Of these two critical social transformations, one is the serial movement during the process of which the movements of huziwarakyou, heizyoukyou and heiannkyou were the symbol of the movements, which helped Japan accomplish the process of setting up the Taoist incantation system of Ancient Middle Ages' authoritative dictatorship;the other is the movement for the capital to Jiang Hu (which was called heiannkyou) which helped Japan finish the initially capitalistic transformation and generally entered the modern times. However, in the recent epoch of Japan, which became the intermediate between the two big transformations, edo City took on all the possibilities that it would come to the fore in this time. Because we can't divide content and form into two parts, therefore we may gain a clear understanding of some difficult or ambiguous problems such as the structure of the capital and the change of capital's functions as long as we study these problems in terms of capital's movement and social transformations.Combined with the East Asia's dynamic international relation background, especially theadjustment and change that Japan executed on China as well as on Japan self, this article attempted to analyze the problems above and put them in order. The author pointed out that the movement of capital and social transformations in Japanese history reflected the regulation and necessity of the critical movement during the two important historical phases. During Ancient and Middle Ages' time, after the social system of Chinese Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty transformed into Japan, there was a great many different important changes in terms of the function of the city and organizational system, which is the symbol that Japan finished the transformation form clan system to the authoritative dictatorship of which Taoist incantations symbol;in recent epoch, especially modern times, the economy, culture, education and political system of western countries within Japanese modernizations process were embodied fully in the new Tokyo, which reflected that the movement of Japanese capital had a symbolic significance for the capitalism of Japan. The process of transformation can be described into several following parts: 1. the movement of huziwarakyou which adopted Chinese Taoist incantation is the critical symbol of the system reform of Japan and the capital also elaborated the important projecting function witch also matched the system of Taoist incantations;2. the movement of heiannkyou which carried out Chinese Taoist incantations system made Japanese Taoist incantation become the flourishing period of Japan which owned authoritative dictatorship;3. the movement of heiannkyou which consolidated Taoist incantation became the steady and middle depressed period of Japanese authoritative dictatorship;4. the historical phase of standard capital—edo became the symbol that Japanese Taoist incantation and authoritative dictatorship collapsed and the early capitalistic system burgeoned;5. the movement of Tokyo marked that meiziisinn established the capitalistic system of modern times for Japan. The process of the movement of Japanese capital and the social transformations possessed distinctive feature of blending culture, Because Japan never gave up their own tradition when they adopted other culture form abroad, the changing social type of either China, either Japan or either east either west during the movement of capital always took on the out-and-out complexity. At present, there aren't such professional analysts in the historical geography of Japan and China, therefore it's better for us to start our study by studying the movement of capital and the social transformations in the history of Japan first, which may be helpful for us to analyze these relevant problems.
