The purpose of dissertation is to reveal the law of the development of history of the Wang's school. The dissertation begins with the change of early stage of Ming Dynasty, and discusses the history of development from beginning to end of the Wang's school.The theory of the original substance and the effort is the central theory of the Wang's school, and determines the direction of development of Wang's school. In Wang Yang-ming's theory, the original substance is a priori, but the effort is postnatal. There is a tension between the original substance and the effort. The characteristic of a priori of the original substance and the effort means the non-historical characteristic, but the characteristic of postnatal of effort means the historical characteristic. There is a disequilibrium between them. Therefore Wang Yang-ming attempted to resolve this problem with"four sentences about moral training". The"four sentences about moral training"tries to integrate the original substance with the effort. But there was the different comprehension about"four sentences about moral training"in Wang Yang-ming's students, so the Wang's school was divided into some different schools. This appearance indicated the apparent splitting of the Wang's school. In the Wang's school, there was three main schools. The three different schools included the school of the original substance, the school of effort and the school of guiji.The scholars of school of the original substance include Wang Ji, Wang Gen, Yan Jun, Luo Ru-fang and Li Zhi. They considered that the original substance means effort, so the moral training is not necessary. They advocated that sincerity was ready-made. But the scholars of effort opposed this view. They include Zou Shou-yi, Ouyang De, Qian De-hong, Liu Zong-zhou, Chen Que and Huang Zong-xi. They maintained to grasp the original substance through moral training. The scholars of guiji attempted to open up a new path between the school of the original substance and the school of effort, including Nie Bao and Luo Hong-xian. But they ran counter to the principle of the monism, so failed.The school of the original substance cancelled effort by the original substance, and the school of the effort called off the original substance by the effort. They ended the theoretical development of the Wang's school through two different channels.
