A Study Of The Relations Between Confucianist Virtues And The Contemporary Society

From the perspectives of the existence forms of Confucianist virtues and its real effects on Chinese, this thesis undertakes to analysis the roles of Confucianist virtues in China today, the affects that it has made on the people during the process of globalization, the scope and extent that it has influenced on Chinese and its reasonableness in the modernism and postmodernism societies. The basic theories of the study are materialism and dynamics theories.Confucianist virtue is such a subject that it tells us how a man can be a man and how can a person to gain good life. In principle, it aims to help people to achieve, be concerned and be self-fulfillment. It is just a moral sense, a moral rational and a moral practice. It reflects the origin meaning of moralities and ethics. During the two thousand years'developments, Confucianist virtue has owned complete and firm structures. With the changes of China society, it can always find the correct forms to adapt to. In the modern world, the moral advantages of Confucianist virtues have appeared day by day. All of these have made it to be reasonable in society today.Certainly, the developed marketing economy has taken the place of traditional natural economy; the modern democracy has broken the fetters of feudal ancient clan system; the new types of family ethics have been accepted indeed by people; the origin growing boots of Confucianist virtues have been disappearing; the identities to Confucianist virtues of people today have been changed largely. But it doesn't mean that Confucianist virtue have lost its vital forces. On the contrary, it has catalyzed anther modernizations of Confucianist virtues.
