The Thoughts Of Civic Virtue Of Maclntyre And Its Enlightenment To China’s Civil-Morality Construction

Alasdair Chalmers MacIntyre is a representative of contemporary virtues.The theory system of virtues he constructed has an important influence in the world.His theory is rooted in the Aristotelian virtues and he adopts the history of the current crisis of morality.Sexual research methods innovatively put forward the three core concepts of “practice”,“narrative integrity”,and “tradition”,and constructed the modern and rigorous virtue system that he hopes.From this perspective,we must look back at the course of our country’s moral construction.At the current stage,how to absorb and digest the ideas of the West’s outstanding virtues to serve the construction of civil morality has become an urgent issue to be resolved.However,Mackintol’s virtue thought,as an outstanding virtue of the West,has important implications for the development of our country’s citizens’ morality.This paper focuses on McIntyre’s virtue idea and its inspiration to our country’s citizen moral construction.It uses historical research methods and literature research methods to analyze and summarize Mackintoll’s classic virtues,namely the virtues of heroic society and Athens society.The interpretation of the virtues,the virtues of the Middle Ages,and the virtues of Aristotle have been studied and elaborated on the construction system and branches of the virtue theory.MacIntyre’s idea of virtue is a new kind of "virtue theory" thought in the modern era.Based on the three key elements of "practice","life narrative" and "tradition",the virtue theory is constructed.Emphasis is placed on pursuing the pursuit of virtue as the ultimate guide to life,carrying out practices that are valuable,capable of obtaining internal rewards,guaranteeing the integrity of the narrative environment,and returning to an excellent tradition.At the same time,a descriptive research method was used to sort out and summarize the status quo of citizens’ moral construction,so that the readers could be further clarified.Finally,the three key elements of McIntyre’s virtues were combined to fully explore its important enlightenment to our country’s civic moral construction.This study finds that McIntyre’s virtue system has important implications for China’s civic moral construction,including internal rewards focusing on practice,emphasizing the virtues of unity and paying attention to cultural traditions,etc.The virtues of its virtues are outstanding for our country’s citizen morality.Construction has important reference value.
