| This dissertation focuses on the relations between The Korean Provisional Government and Chinese National Government since The Korean Provisional Government was founded in Shanghai to the year of 1948. It studies the co-operative history of Chinese National Government and The Korean Provisional Government sharing weal and woe from 1919 to 1948. Meanwhile the dissertation tries to give an objective, practical and impartial evaluation on the characteristics and results of how Chinese National Government supports Korean Provisional Government and of how Korean Provisional Government makes the contribution to Chinese people during the period of the war of Resistance Against Japanese.This dissertation is divided into four parts, which are introduction, body, conclusion and references.The part of Introduction consists of the research background and purpose, significance, briefly reviews in home and aboard, main issue of the research, the new points of this dissertation, and etc.The main body is divided into 5 chapters.Chapter one discusses the foundation of Korean Provisional Government and how it starts to set up the relationship with Guangzhou Law-protecting Military Government. There are several parts in this chapter which includes the political situation of Northeast Asia at the beginning of 20th century and the foundation of Korean Provisional Government, the internal construction of Korean Provisional Government in its early stage and the internal contradictions of the country, the relationship between Chinese and Korean patriots in the early period, Guangzhou Law-protecting Military Government's aid to Korea, and Sun Yat-sen'fundamental guiding principle of supporting Korea as well as reason analysis.Chapter Two illustrates the new turning points of the relations between Korean Provisional Government and Nanjing Chinese National Government. It includes how Chinese and Korean people unite together to fight against Japanese invasion and begin a new starting point since "The Mukden Incident of September 18th" in 1931 as well as Korean Provisional Government's earlier activities and its difficulties. In this chapter it also discusses the influence of "Hongkou Incident" in April 1932 on Chinese National Government's aid policy to Korea, the relationship between Korean Army of Patriots and Chinese Lixing Association and the relationship between the two Governments, and the Organization Department of Kuomintang Central Committee.Chapter Three analyses how Kuomintang Government offers great help to Korean Provisional Government since the war of Resistance Against Japanese breaks out. It includes the new situation which both China and Korean faces since the war breaks out, Chiang Kai Shek's fundamental guiding principle of supporting Korea and his motives, what kinds of influence Chinese Communist Party and Korean revolutionaries fighting against Japanese together in the war give on Chinese National Government's supporting policy to Korea, the hardship which Korean Provisional Government faces during the war, and Chinese National Government's negotiation of partisan contradiction in Korean Independence Movement during the war.Chapter Four discusses Chinese National Government's policy to Korea during the Pacific War. Five main parts are included in this chapter:how Chinese National Government and Korean Provisional Government evaluate the Korean Recovery Army differently; Chinese National Government's economic aid to Korean Provisional Government during the war of Resistance Against Japanese, how Chinese National Government makes efforts to work on the international recognition of Korean Provisional Government, the reason analysis of Korean Provisional Government's not being accepted by the international community, and the Korean Provisional Government's contribution in armed forces to the war of Resistance Against Japanese in China.Chapter Five studies Chinese National Government's continuous aid to the Diplomatic Delegation of Korean Provisional Government in China. It includes the disintegration of Korean Provisional Government and how Chinese National Government helps the members of Korean Provisional Government return to Korea in their individual capacities, how the Diplomatic Delegation of Korean Provisional Government in China is founded as well as Chinese National Government's continuous aid it, the reason why Chinese National Government accepts the Diplomatic Delegation of Korean Provisional Government in China, how Chinese National Government and Korean Provisional Government cooperate to deal with the overseas Korean issue, Syngman Rhee's visit to China and its influence, and the disorganization of the Diplomatic Delegation of Korean Provisional Government in China.The conclusive part of this dissertation focuses on the analysis of main efficiency of Chinese National Government's aid to Korea as well as trying to give an objective, practical and impartial evaluation on it. Meanwhile, the dissertation also raises a fundamental rethink of this issue.Based on systemically collecting the past data, this research has several new points as follow:First, it illustrates the motives and guiding principles of Chinese National Government's aid to Korean Provisional Government in different periods and different stages. Second, it creates a new thinking on the mutual relationship between Chinese National Government and Korean Provisional Government. Particularly, it gives an impartial evaluation on Korean Provisional Government's contribution to Chinese National Government and Chinese people in the war of Resistance Against Japanese. Third, it gives a positive credit for the significance of Chinese National Government's aid to Korean Provisional Government. Meanwhile, it also gives profound analysis of Chinese National Government's dual policy of support and manipulation to Korean Government. This impartial evaluation can help us not only understand this part of history better but also benefit from the reality. |
