From Attachment To Consciousness

Through analysis of the specific text on criticism, this paper attempts from two dimensions to study the feminist literary criticism in China in the past 20 years.1,In which way the Chinese Feminist Literary Criticism manages to establish the statement of the main female and women's own theoretical system, freeing itself from the criticism of male-dependence;2,Regarding the Western Feminist Literary Criticism as a reference system, I'd like to study the difference in feminist literary criticism in China.This paper holds the view that during the latter half of the 80's, in the social and cultural aspects, the successful construction of the female consciousness in the research of women's literature indicates that feminist literary criticism in our country attempts to separate from the male discourse. It's the beginning. After that, the feminist literary criticism in our country embarked on a course of conscious feminist discourse and theory. This embodies through four aspects:Women's Image Criticism,Reconstruction of the Women's Literary Tradition, Research of Women's Writing and Gender Poetics. At the same time, it also shows the difference from Western Feminism in literary criticism.Women's Image Criticism is the earliest form in feminist literary criticism. It implements criticism of the male-dependent culture through criticism on the imaginary female characters in the male works, which is the beginning of women's gender-consciousness. Women's Image Criticism in China doesn't rigidly adhere to the true image of women in social life, and besides consciously uses a number of ways. It further analyzes the truth of the image of oppressed women in literary texts, which is much more convincing.Reconstruction of the women's literary tradition gets out of dependence on male literature in the object of study, attempting to construct the dominant position of women writers, through studying the history, style, theme and structure of women's creation and creativity of women. Despite the performance of many critics in the reconstruction of female literary tradition in our country, there are disadvantages. On the one hand, it is lacking in exploration on female aesthetics. On the other hand, in the field of contemporary literature, construction of ancient women's literary tradition is not enough.Women's Writing theory attempts to construct women's main in the language of body. "Women's Writing" theory filters out the more obvious physiological colors in the west, emphasizing on women's creative acts, which have characteristics against male culture. In women's writing, this cultural strategy stressed the importance of resistance and the function of avoidance from being exploited by male discourse. On the other hand, it also gave up the right of discourse in criticizing "Body Writing", which appears on the turn of the century."Gender Poetics" theory shows that China has consciously feminist literary criticism. It is different from Western Feminist Poetics. The Chinese Feminist Literary Criticism tries to establish a theoretical system of literature based on gender dimension, aiming at changing the situation of feminist literary criticism only on "female experience". To be vigilant, the problem is whether the feminist position will change because of the "gender" instead of "women" starting point for research in Gender Poetics, and also the replacement of fresh practice in criticism with traditional theoretical system.
