Nonferrous metals industry based aluminum is one of the five pillar industries in Henan province. Bauxite resources supported effectively the development of aluminum industry in Henan province. However, it has affected seriously ecological environment. A large number of land resources, landform and landscape, and ecological environment were destroyed due to open pit and spoil area of surface mining.This paper analyzed systematically geological environment in Jiagou area of Western Henan and found out geologically environmental problems in Jiagou area of Western Henan which included landslides, collapse, ecological landscape damage, soil and water loss, water pollution, land occupation caused by slag accumulation, effect and damage of land resource based on the principle of the combination of theory and practice, and a combination of quality and quantity. It also introduced the reasons, regularities of distribution, influencing factors, damage and trend of development of geologically environmental problems by detailed study.In order to overcome the mine slope stability analysis and evaluation of a single mining landslide group of easy formation and small scale characteristics of rock and soil mechanics parameters inconsistent, and preliminary numerical method using the composite analysis of mining slope stability. Choose five factors have shipped representative, using artificial neural network model for comprehensive evaluation of mine geological environment and partition.Based on the characteristics of geological environment, effect and evolution of bauxite mine, the study area was divided into different regions and improved the landslides and collapse of mining pit at present. In addition, some potential geological hazard was monitored in time. It was proposed to appropriate plan of protection and management to slagheap and water pollution in Jiagou area.Based on theoretical research and empirical analysis, this paper presented suggestions and strategies which established and perfected the legal systematic construction in protection of mine environment and the system construction of mine management in order to promote coordinative development of economic, social and environmental benefits in mining area.Furthermore, this paper introduced how to explore mining development model in coordination of economic development, resource development and environmental protection.
