With the development of brain imaging technology, functional magnetic resonance imaging (functional magnetic resonance imaging, fMRI) and positron emission computed tomography (ct) imaging (positron emission tomography, PET), single photon emission computed tomography (ct) imaging (single photon emission computed tomography, SPECT) advanced brain imaging techniques such as more and more application in clinical and basic research. The central activation effect of acupuncture acupoints in research has entered a brand-new field. Brain neural activity needs to be associated with energy metabolism and glucose as energy material, in the brain is almost the only source of all energy of brain cells. Therefore, observation and analysis of various factors under the action of areas of the brain glucose metabolism is to know about the function of the brain to cognition. Acupuncture on LR3and KI3give priority to curative effect on primary hypertension and was equal to that of western medicine, but higher quality multi-center RCT need to be confirmed.2. Acupuncture on LR3, KI3or LR3+KI3could have certain regulation effect on blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats. It reduces blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats.3. The use of PET-CT technology can directly reflect the situation of acupuncture and acupuncture treatment on rats by glucose metabolism. Results suggest that acupuncture on LR3, acupuncture on KI3, acupuncture on LR3+KI3on glucose metabolism in SHR regions exist differences when sitimulating the acupionts and after the acupuncture treatment. Compared with acupuncture on non-point rats, acupuncture on LR3, acupuncture on KI3, acupuncture on LR3+KI3also exist differences of glucose metabolism in SHR.
