| ObjectiveTo provide a scientific basis and unified standard for acupuncture treatment of simple obesity. In this study, the clinical literatures about the acupuncture treatment for simple obesity were retrieved, reviewed, analyzed, and summarized the status quo and development tendency of acupuncture clinical studies in domestic and overseas. We evaluated the quality of clinical research literatures and analyzed principal rule of acupoint selection in acupuncture treatment for simple obesity.MethodsBy means of combination with computer and manual retrieval, we retrieved and reviewed clinical research literatures which published from 1983 to 2013 year in domestic and overseas journals about acupuncture treatment of simple obesity. Language of literatures restricted to Chinese and English. The retrieved literatures were systematically reviewed for relevant studies. According to the Cochrane system evaluation handbook(version 5.0) "simple evaluation method" standard, two independent researchers adopt "back-to-back" form to assess the independent bias risk of literature respectively, and based on the involved problems to assess the quality of each literatures. At the end, the modern literature database was established to record related acupoint data. Using the Python programming language to analyze literature involved with acupoint withJetBrains Pycharm Community Edition 3.1.2 software, we summed up the principal rule of meridian selection and point selection in acupuncture treatment of simple obesity. Results(1) In the overall assessment, we collated and found 2 references conformed to "the possibility of all kinds of bias minimum standards",56 references conformed to "have a corresponding bias of medium degree probability standards", and 25 references conformed to "have a corresponding bias of medium high probability standards".(2)In acupuncture treatment of simple obesity, the points on spleen and stomach meridian were used comonly in the acupuncture prescription. The using frequency of Stomach meridian of foot-yangming is highest, followed by Ren meridian, Spleen meridian of foot-taiyin.(3)The total of points using frequency was 1251 times in acupuncture prescription. Specific points was primary, and the most commonly used specific points is Five-Shu-point and Crossing point. The top five of the most using frequency were Specific point, and there were tianshu(ST25,68 times), zusanli(ST35,65 times), sanyinjiao(SP6,63 times), zhong wan(RN12,60 times), fenglong(ST40,56 times).(4) Compatible points were principally ST25, SP6, ST40 and RN12 ect. The most commonly used 5 groups of compatible points were ST25-SP6, ST25-ST40, SP6-ST40, ST25-RN12, ST25-ST40, respectively. ConclusionIn recent years, multiple clinical studies on acupuncture treatment of simple obesity have been conducted. Trying to systematically investigate the acupuncture treatment of simple obesity in different aspects by means of clinical observation and the mechanism research however, the overall quality of literature reseach is not high. There was obvious regularity of meridian point selection in acupuncture treatment of simple obesity, selecting acupuncture points distribution more concentrated on the spleen and stomach meridian and specific points on the specific meridians. |
