Study On Cold-heat Compatibility Regularity Of Formulae For Spleen-stomach Disease

Objective:Building a cold-heat compatibility formulae treating spleen-stomach disease databases, we use the data mining technology, to study the cold-heat compatibility regularity of formulae treating spleen-stomach disease.The objective is to summarize the regularity and the significance of this kind of compatibility, so that the results could offer reference for clinical and scientific research of TCM.Methods:â‘ The data sources come from Formula Dictionary of Traditional China Medicine. According to the categorical index in the dictionary, we select the cold-heat compatibility formulae treating spleen-stomach disease as the research data. There are1384formulae selected, and the information of them is input the EXCEL, including the disease, formula, medicinal, cold or heat, classification. We import the Numbered data into Oracle to mine them.â‘¡Analytic methods:Frequency analysis, Cluster analysis, association rules.Results:There are96592formulae in Formula Dictionary of Traditional China Medicine, including6695formulae for treating spleen-stomach disease. This study uses1384cold-heat compatibility formulae, accounting for20.7%of formulae for treating spleen-stomach disease.482kinds of herb are involved in these formulae, and the cumulative frequency is12223.â‘ Classification of the herbs in the cold-heat compatibility formulae treating spleen-stomach disease:There are24kinds of classification of the herbs, and according to the frequency the top five are qi-rectifying medicinal, qi-supplementing medicinal, heat-clearing medicinal, interior-warming medicinal and phlegm-transforming cough-suppressing medicinal, accounting for51.38%of the total frequency.â‘¡The frequency of cold medicinal and heat medicinal:There are171kinds of heat medicinal, which frequency is6121, accounting for50.31%of the total frequency. There are178kinds of cold medicinal, which frequency is3774, accounting for30.65%of the total frequency. The high-frequency heat medicines are Chenpi, Banxia, Renshen, Baizhu, Danggui, Houpo, Binlang, Qingpi, Chuanxiong, Cangzhu, Sharen, Shanzha, Ganjiang, Rougui, Wuzhuyu. The high-frequency coldmedicines are Huanglian, Dahuang, Huangqin, Baishao, Zhiqiao, Zhishi, Chaihu, Qianniu, and Zhizi.â‘¢Cold-heat compatibility drug couples and drug groups:There are1924drug couples which frequency is2times or more than. The cumulative frequency of them is15026; there are16509three-drug groups, and their cumulative frequency is60143; there are65392four-drug groups, and their cumulative frequency is166815. Most of the drug couples come from following possible matches, Huanglian, Huangqin, Dahuang, Chenpi, Banxia, Muxiang, Baizhu, Binlang, Danggui etc.Conclusion:â‘ Cold-heat compatibility is significant in treating spleen-stomach disease.â‘¡Heat medicines are the main part in cold-heat compatibility treating spleen-stomach disease.â‘¢Rectifying Qi is another major treatment for spleen-stomach disease.â‘£Compatible meaning:exterior-interior resolution, upper-body-clearing and lower-body-warming, upper-body-warming and lower-body-clearing, acrid opening and bitter down bearing, paradoxical assistant, harmonize Yin-yang, upbearing spleen qi and down bearing stomach qi, supplement and attack simultaneously.
