The thought of benevolence is not only the core value system of our traditionalChinese culture,but also the orthodox and mainstream ideology of the two thousandyears’Chinese history.Since medicine is one of the earliest occupation,there is a closerelationship among medical education,personal training and the thought ofbenevolence.The content and form of traditional Chinese medicine are permeated with theConfucian,especially the“medical humanityâ€.Calling back the idea of benevolence andConfucianism educational idea provides the original idea for the reformation of traditionalChinese medicine.Based on previous research,in this paper,we use the method of philology to find theinfluence of benevolence on the education and ethics of the traditional Chinesemedicine,and then explore and improvement for TCM education.This paper is divided intofour parts.The first part:summary of the benevolence idea.We explore the origin and explanationof the word“benevolenceâ€based on the elaboration of benevolence thought;by using thehumanity development as a clue,we introduce the explanation of“benevolenceâ€before theConfucius,from the negative meaning“inhumaneâ€and ring effect interpretation of medicalethics.The second part:provision of benevolence thought to traditional medical ethics.Takethe“medical humanityâ€established during Song Dynasty,we explore the development of themedical ethics,talking about traditional ethics and regulations influenced from benevolencethought;putting forward that“medical humanityâ€and“big medicine sincereâ€as the corevalue of traditional medical ethics;The third part:impact of benevolence thought to Chinese medicine education.Lookingback on the influence of benevolence thought on ancient medical education,we analyze theimpact on the value of modern Chinese medicinal education from following aspects:medical education form Confucianism,educating idea of benevolencethought,relationship between“benevolenceâ€and“virtueâ€â€œartâ€and“humanâ€,virtue betweenteachers and students during education,and humanistic quality reflected from medicaleducation.Based on history,we can grasp the thought of benevolence practical guidance formodern Chinese medicine education value,analyze disadvantages and shortcoming of TCMin curriculum,cultural cultivation and campus culture,and the prove a new method of thecore value of TCM education.This chapter is the starting point and the foothold of thispaper.The forth part:summarize the whole part and get a conclusion.TCM education shouldbe based on the excellent traditional culture whose core value is benevolence.We shouldfollow the development law and humanities characteristics of TCM,put emphasis on thecultivation of humanistic and moral quality,improve teaching method andcurriculum.Finally,we point out the shortcoming content which needs further researchment. |
