| This paper reported the systematically phytochemical investigation on two valuable medicinal used orchidaceous plants:Pleione yunnanensis and Dendrobium devonianum.By using chromatography techniques,42 compounds were isolated from the EtOH extracts of the tubers of Pleione yunnanensis. On the basis of chemical methods and spectroscopic techniques, the structures of 39 compounds were elucidated, including 27 stilbenoid derivatives,4 glucosyloxybenzyl 2-isobutylmalates,2 sterols and 6 other compounds. Among these compounds,12 compounds were new ones; 13 compounds were isolated from genus Pleione for the first time; 2 compounds were isolated from the family of orchidaceae for the first time; all the compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time. New compounds were named as shancigusins A—I (1—7 and 35—36) and Pleionols A—C (8—10), sequencely.
