The Short Story Magazine (1910——1931) had played a very important and unique role in Chinese modern literature:it is the onle pure-literature magazine sponsoered by the binggest publishing commany-the Commerce Publishing House. It’s the only new modern literature periodical came from "the old magazine" by revolution. It also had a very close relationship with the Literture Reserching Union.
