Research Of Literary Magazine

Literary Magazine was edited by Lei Jin and published by Shanghai Saoye Publishing House.It was first published in June 1914 and had 13 issues.The first 12 issues of the magazine were monthly,printed in paperback,with one to five issues were monthly and six to twelve issues were bimonthly.The magazine had been published quarterly since the 13 th issue.It was printed by Shanghai Oriental Printing House and distributed to all major publishing houses on Chessboard Street in Shanghai.The magazine,with 80,000 words per issue,aimed at collecting ancient books and discussing literature and art.On the one hand,it published rare books of ancient books and on the other hand,it published notes and poems,which had high historical value and research significance.Taking the existing 13 issues of Literature Magazine as the research object,this paper focuses on the background of the birth of Literature Magazine,the form of the first issue and the uniqueness of its content,and attempts to sort out and study the magazine,and narrate the style and features of literature and the times it presents to explore its significance in the history of literature.This article is divided into four parts:The first part,Literary Magazine's Editing and Publishing.From the issue of the word ‘This magazine is devoted to discuss literature and art,the collection of classics,the preservation of national essence'.To see the editor Lei Jin and the publisher Saoye Publishing House two perspectives of "literature and art magazine" launch;This paper focuses on the business model of the magazine from four aspects: Contribution source,payment and pricing,reader interaction and marketing advertisement,introduces the restructuring of the magazine,and tries to find out the main reasons for the closure of the magazine.The second part,authors group.The authors group in Literary Magazine are divided into regions,professions and social relations to show the concentration of regions and professions,the concentration of works by Lei Jin's teachers and friends,and the celebrity works in the magazine.The third part,Literary Magazine's main content.According to the large size of the magazine,it is divided into five sections.In the first section,I will collect the ancient books,sort out the records of some catalogues of the late Qing Dynasty in the magazine,select rare books with special emphasis and give lectures on the knowledge of Ancient Books.The second section,poetry and prose,I will sort out and analyze the magazine's recent poetry,poetry and prose works.The third section,notes and novels,carries on the multi-level combing and the analysis to the notes,the short stories and the novel works which occupy the most space in the magazine;In the fifth section,leisure literature,I will analyze the interesting literature such as humorous poems,humorous essays and word play in the magazine.The fourth part is the significance of literary history of Literary Magazine.The value of Literature Magazine is very high,but there are few people who discuss it.After the introduction and text analysis,I will try to make some conclusions from the angle of literature history.The Literature Magazine is rich in content and broad in style.All kinds of literary forms and literary schools can display their works here and discuss with each other.It is of great historical and research value.The magazine's temperament and content also present a vivid social picture,in which new things,new languages and old ideas are interwoven,as well as a new perspective on the creation of women persevering in the classics and the obstinacy of the old literature also makes this complicated picture scroll contaminated with the sadness of the end times moving against the trend.
