The Family Politics Of The Spring And Autumn Period

The title of this dissertation is aristocrat politics during the Spring and Autumn Period. This dissertation mainly includes seven parts, The first part is the introduction, mainly deal with the study achievements of this problem, and on these study achievements analysis place which can be continues to study.In the first chapter, we first define Gongzu politics and Qingzu politics, and study the transformation process from Gongzu politics to Qingzu politics by anlyzing the changes of aristocracy composition.The second chapter intends to research the structure and system of aristocracy family, its purpose is to explain the reason of the appearance of Qingzu politics. The third and forth chapter mainly study fall and rise of these aristocracy families in detail.The main content of the fifth chapter is the common understandings about Qingzu politics, these understandings include producing of aristocracy family, reason of the formation of the Qingzu politics, operation of Qingzu politics, power delivery in Qingzu politics, significance of fall of aristocracy family, and the way of survival of aristocracy family.On the basis of these researches, we don’t discover that all states successfully accomplish the transformation process from Gongzu politics to Qingzu politics. This transformation process is smoothly completed only in three states, Zheng, Lu, and Jin. In other states, this process experienced many twists and turns, even in Qi and Chu, this process has not completed all through. What is the reason of this difference, I think the reason is that the extent is different On implementation of Zongfa system in these states. In the states which implemented strictly Zongfa system, structure of aristocracy family is tight and firm, so they easily gather enough forces to challenge monarch, but in that state which implementes loosely Zongfa system, aristocracy family can’t do it.The sixth chapter mainly study how the Qingzu politics had been breakthrough. Qingzu politics is the product of Zongfa system. so breaking Qingzu politics, first, Cutting off the contact between family and country, kinship is not condition for political power, talent and credit become a measure of politicians. Second, To change the internal structure of the family, deprive families of land, fief, people, and force, so aristocracy family become a social organization, no longer a political organization. After breakthrough of Qingzu politics, sons of monarch begin to obtain naturally political power again during warring states period.
