The Research On The Competence Of Chinese Referees In Chinese Professional Matches

The author of this research has mainly adopted the investigation method of interview, investigation method of questionnaire, case analysis, documents and materials, mathematical statistics, and observation, etc. to study the competences demand of Chinese football referees serve for professional football matches in China, build the basic competence model of Chinese football referees work in professional football matches of China, explore the Chinese chief referees’ competencies serves for professional football matches in China. The results researched as follows:1. The basic competence of the referees in professional football matches means the assembly of basic and threshold-grade quality and ability needed in judging the professional football matches. The competencies of the chief referees in professional football matches is the differential characteristics of quality and ability, distinguishing those excellently-performed referees from those average ones when serving as the chief referees in professional football matches.2. The system of home and away game stresses advantage of home field and inferior position of away field; foreign players and coaches extensively participate in and play an important role; the compound competition cycle is characterized by alternative long cycle and short one; The low density of competition and the characteristics of fouls, influence the normal matches and the competition is easy to cause some disorder, which are the characteristics of Chinese professional football matches demand the referees’ competences more and higher.3. The model of basic competence of referees in Chinese professional football matches should include 3 dimesions and 15 sub- dimesions. Cutural quality includes the professional basic knowledge of sports, Cutural quality includes the basic professional knowledge of sports, basic operative skill and knowledge , the knowledge of soccer relevant laws and regulations , relevant knowledge of professional soccer ,relevant knowledge of sports , in all 5 sub- dimesions and 18 key elements. Moral quality includes the thought,morals , political and personal personality 4 sub- dimesions and 20 key elements; professional ability and quality includes the ability of judging in the matches, basic ability of work , ability of reading the game, the oral and writing ability of Chinese and English communication, judging psychological characteristics , the physical and movement ability 6 sub-dimesions and 20 key elements.4. The operation qualification certification system base on the model of basic competence of Chinese referees in Chinese professional football matches should include three respects as following Cutural quality, moral quality and referring professional quality, the three first class indexes; and 7 core contents and 8 main contents5. The competencies of Chinese football chief-referees of excellent gruop are shown as the following six characteristics better than those who in generic group in professional football matches: analyzing and inferring, insight, the ability of resist Interference and pressure, the ability of exchanging and communicating in the matches, the ability of treating the failure and setback, organizational commitment.
