The interest analysis method is one of the most important basic ways of understanding andanalysisng matters in the social field. It must be applied as a basic method in any social subject foreffective participation. Social management is currently one of the most important social practicesin China, along with the development of socialist practice playing a more and more important role.Therefore, this study aims to start from the aspects of theory and practice, implementing benefittheory to explain the framework used in the study of social management.This study analyzes exisisting research of social management and interest theory, as well asdevelopment trends within current social management practice, then this paper defines socialmanagement as"management activities carried out by government and social organizations inthe interest of meeting society's needs" via the conceptual and theoretical systems of socialmanagement and interest theory. On this basis, the author constructs a new theoretical system ofsocial management, confirms social management systems and basic principles, as well assummarizes the key tasks of social management, summing up practice and exploration in socialmanagement innovation, and ultimately forming a new basis for social management theoryresearch.This paper comes to some conclusions: Interest theory as the core of social management fromthe perspective of the process between the subject and the object of interest, including thephenomenon and its intrinsic qualities, universality and particularity, the whole and the part, theinternal and external causes represents four pairs of relationships. From the perspective of thetheory of social management methodology, the fundamental principle is to divide the interestgroups based on interests, and implement interest analysis methods from which certain economicrelationships are the first material relation to divide the interest groups. Interest theory from theperspective of social management theory is based on interest integration, coordination, resolutionand improvement as a foundation, systematic mechanism construction, moral construction and theoptimization of specific tasks in the external environment.
