Study On The Folk Customs From The Perspective Of Aesthetic Culture

As a carrier of national culture with vivid image and rich connotation, folk customs are the spiritual resources for generations. Their physical forms and intrinsic meanings are closely related to the eco-environment and aesthetic fashion of various regions and nations.A lot of efforts have been made for a long time on the investigation, collection, classification and analysis of folk customs, but far less on the macro, in-depth study on the folk customs from the perspective of aesthetic culture. Therefore, this paper makes a monographic study on the folk customs and its related aesthetic issues by combining folklore with aesthetics.The folk customs from the perspective of aesthetic culture, which are of distinct aesthetic characteristics, exist objectively. In this paper, the author aims to propose a new interpretation of the folk customs based on problems. This paper mainly concentrates on the fundamental characteristics, elements and other key issues of aesthetic features of folk customs from the perspective of aesthetic features, aesthetic value and generation of aesthetic features of folk custom. Practices in folk customs show that aesthetic features of folk customs are determined both by the connotation of their content and objective elements. The fundamental characteristics, including orderliness and logicality, romance and pleasure, imaginative and symbolic, mystique and transcendence, blending and nationality, objective and impressionistic are embodied in the former, and subject and theme, imitation and selection of meaning, cadence and rhythm, color and line, material and craft and other elements in the latter, which are of some artistic qualities.This paper studies emphatically the inherent basis and manifestations of "beauty in folk-custom". The beauty of folk custom includes the connotation of utility value and aesthetic value and image system of structure, its contents and forms are intact and integrated in the activities and matters of folk customs, and its aesthetic features can arouse the aesthetic emotions of subjects.Folk custom is one of the important factors of social construction. The study on the folk customs from the perspective of aesthetic culture has great application potential, such as play its due role in enhancing people's aesthetic consciousness and quality, valuing the resources of folk customs, preserving intangible cultural heritage and promoting cultural exchanges among various nations, etc.
