The Study Of Contrast And Translation Between Vietnamese And Chinese Onomatopoetic Words

There are plenty of onomatopoeia in almost every human language,and Chinese and Vietnamese are no exception.Onomatopoeia is also known as a abstract word,a special vocabulary in language.It is made by imitation,so the relation between sound and meaning is more closely than other parts of speech.In addition,Vietnamese and Chinese onomatopoeia are not only different in pronunciation,semantics and syntax,but also differences in language and culture,and in reciprocal translation of the two also has difficulties.These problems have important academic value and research significance.In phonology,this paper uses the data statistics of Vietnamese and Chinese onomatopoeia available to deeply analyze fheir onomatopoetic syllable and conduct a comprehensive and detailed description of their voice system.The paper also base on the statistics,from the land of initials,finals and tones in all aspects of Vietnamese and Chinese phonetic features,to make comparisons and points out the same and the difference between the two.About the same,mainly two points:first,the two-syllable onomatopoeia is the majority of the Vietnamese and Chinese onomatopoeia.Second,there is a frequency in the echo-word system in both languages.About the difference,mainly three points:first,there is no affricates in the Vietnamese onomatopoeia.Second,the distribution of the oblique tones tone of the onomatopoeia in Vietnamese is even more evenly,and In Chinese onomatopoeia,most of the tones are flat.Third,Chinese onomatopoeia have mono,double-syllable,three-syllable,four-syllable onomatopoeia but Vietnamese onomatopoeia,according to our corpus,there is no three syllable onomatopoeia,but mainly double-syllable onomatopoeia.In erms of semantics,the author mainly adopts examples to analyze the Chinese and Vietnamese onomatopoeia.In addition,the author also analyze the relationship between the pronunciation and meaning of the Chinese and Vietnamese onomatopoeia,and point out the characteristics of the relationship between the phonetic and semantic meanings of Vietnamese and Chinese,and then reveal the similarities and differences between the two.Vietnamese onomatopoeia and Chinese onomatopoeia have meaning correspondence on the semantic level,but there are also semantic non-correspondence or vacancy phenomena.In terms of syntax,the author inducts and sums up the syntactic features of two language onomatopoeia by examining the results of the study of the syntactic function of Vietnamese and Chinese onomatopoeia.The author also adopts examples to illustrate the points in the paper.A contrastive analysis of syntactic functions is performed and the similarities and differences between the two are obtained.Vietnamese onomatopoeia and Chinese onomatopoeia,in the syntactic function,have the common is can be sentence,subject,object,adverbial(the same terminology),predicate,attributive,complement The different places also appear in the case of attributive,adverbial,and complement three aspects.There are 6 categories of 18-type translation methods in the translated texts.According to the statistical analysis of translation practice,the Chinese and Vietnamese reciprocal translation has"literal translation","turn translation" and "iberal translation" three methods.And all methods must abide by the corresponding laws,"The Law of reciprocal translation".
