| Nowadays,there co-exist various pollutants in the water body such as dyes,heavy metal ions,and spilled oil,which pose severe threats to the aqueous eco-system,and the health of aqueous creatures and human beings,thus we developed the room-temperature gelator with remarkable gelation properties and adsorbents with widespread utilization for much kind of contaminants,high efficiency and easy regeneration in this paper.Herein,we described some materials as solidifier and adsorbents based on supramolecular gels composed of tetrazolyl-based compounds and alkylamine;moreover,considering the organic solvents in the supramolecular system,non-convalent functionalized graphene oxide compiste with gelator was prepared to adsorb diverse contaminants.Supramolecular gels is a kind of soft materials resulted from the self-assembly of gelator to the three-dimensional networks structure.Among them,there was a kind of gelator called "phase selective gelator",which was able to selectively solidify organic solvents and oils from their mixture with water.Herein,the rigid and di-tetrazolyl compound 1,3-di(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)benzene(DTB),and the tetrazolyl compounds with alkyl chains,N-octyl-4-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)aniline(NTA)and N-(4-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)phenyl)octanamide(NPO),was synthesized and prepared into supramolecular gels with octadecylamine(OA).Moreover,supramolecular gels DTB-OA,NTA-OA and NPO-OA were characterized by 1H NMR、MS、FT-IR、TEM、SEM and rheology measurements.It is found that DTB-OA、NTA-OA and NPO-OA could solidify various organic solvents or oils from their mixture with water,which would not be affected by the presence of inorganic salts.Furthermore,NPO-OA could gelate organic solvents at room temperature,which was benifical for potential application in the real life.Considering that there exist hydrogen bonding binds,cycles and hydrophobic chains which supply sufficient non-covalent interactions for self-assembly and adsorption for dyes and metalions.Moreover,DTB-OA gel possess the self-healing,self-molding and high mechanic strength and gel-sol-gel state which was significant for the adsorption and recycle process.We found that supramolecular DTB-OA was capable of adsorption of dyes and heavy metal ions in their respect solutions or mixture.The adsorption capacity of bromophenol blue,rhodamine B,methyl orange,and methylene blue could reach up to is 2603.66 mg/g,1295.26 mg/g,828.58 mg/g and 115.03 mg/g,respectively;the adsorption capacity of Cu2+ and Fe2+ was 1105.4 mg/g and 209.3 mg/g,respectively.Graphene oxide(GO)has large surface areas and amount of oxygen-containing functional groups,which was potential adsorbents as well as easily to be functionalized.The composite GO/DTB-OA was prepared by the non-covalent functionalization of graphene oxide by compound DTB and OA with good hydrophobicity,and was characterized by AFM,TEM,BET,XRD,FT-IR,XPS,TG and Raman.There were various non-covalent interactions between graphene oxide and DTB-OA,such as van der waals forces,hydrogen bonding,electrostatic interactions,and π-π stacking,which is helpful for the adsorption of dye,heavy metal ions,endocrine-disruptors and pharmaceuticals from their respective solutions and mixture.The adsorption of dyes was investigated in system considering the effect of pH,concentration,time and temperature.It could be observed that the adsorption was rapidly.The adsorption capacity of malachite green,methylene blue and eriochrome blue black R could reach up to 2867.56 mg/g,788.1 mg/g and 1189.1 mg/g,respectively. |
