Generation Science Research About Treatment Method Theory In Huang Di’s Canon Of Medicine

Purpose:Huang di’s Canon of Medicine is the earliest existing medical book of China,which is very rich about treatment theory.The treatment content can be divided into treatment thoughts,treatment principles,treatment methods,treatment measures in four areas.The treatment method theory includes the treatment methods and treatment measures.The theory of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine is the theoretical origins of methods and measures of practitioners of later generations.This thesis aims to explore the original connotation of the treatment method theory of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine from the perspective of generation science research,and the origin and development research,and the connotation research.The systematic,comprehensive and in-depth study of the theory of treatment method is not only helpful to the understanding and deepening of traditional Chinese medicine therapy,but also has great significance to improve the clinical level of TCM,and the interpretation of other contents of this classics.Method and content:The master copy is 1963 plum version of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine Su Wen and Ling Shu Jing which were published by the People’s medical publishing house.This thesis uses the method of generation science research method and traditional collation and exegesis methods to make an objective and accurate interpretation of the basic content and basic connotation of the treatment method theory in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine.And this thesis also consults the excavated documents and the literature which is handed down for generations at the same period of the Huang di’s Canon of Medicine,to explore the occurrence and evolution regular.And with the help of inductive and deductive logic methods,to make a macro and overall grasp of this theory,and to explore its characteristics and purport of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine.The main contents of this thesis can be divided into the following four parts: 1.The first part: the history of treatment methods theory in TCMIn this part,the main content is the evolution process of treatment method theory from the Qin and Han Dynasties to modern.In accordance with the chronological order,clarify the history of treatment method theory of TCM.2.The second part: the study of generation science about treatment methodIn this part,the main content is to explain the generation science factors and development track,from the early sprout of treatment to the historical period of writing of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine.And in this part the thesis uses generation science research methods,to reveal the generation science factors and development process of early treatment method theory,and to clarify its development venation from the accumulation of experience to the theoretical summary.3.The third part: The theoretical framework of treatment in Huang di’s Canon of MedicineIn this part,the main content is the treatment theory in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine,which can be divided into four aspects: treatment thoughts,treatment principles,treatment methods and treatment measures.The part of the treatment principle and treatment method can be classified to different level divisions.And in this part,the thesis attempts to clarify the treatment thoughts and treatment principles from the macro point of view.(1)The treatment measures are drugs,acupuncture,stone therapy,moxibustion,dao yin(导引),an qiao(按蹻),massage,yun fa(熨法),emotional therapy,zhu you(祝由).This paper does not discuss the content to cure specific illness and symptoms,such as discharge ascitic fluid,cause sneezing,etc.(2)The treatment methods can be divided into the treatment theoretical method and specific treatment methods.The treatment theoretical methods are tiao(调),he(和),reinforcing method(补),catharsis treatment(泻),diaphoretic therapy(汗),emetic therapy(吐),purgation method(下),warming therapy(温),febrifugal method(清),dispersing method(消),gong xie(攻邪),jie jing fu(洁净府)、qu yu chen cuo(去宛陈莝).Yi(益)and yang(养)are attached to the reinforcing method,and fa(发),san(散)are attached to the diaphoretic therapy.(3)The treatment thoughts are he wei sheng duo(和为圣度),preventive treatment of disease,complying with the law of movement of the nature,proficient to social personnel relations and status,conforming to the disease condition and the trend of the human body.(4)The treatment principles can be divided into the basic principles and specific treatment principles.The basic principles are protecting the vital qi,promoting the body resistance and eliminate pathogenic factors,treating disease from the root,and regulating yin and yang.4.The fourth part: The analysis of the treatment theoretical method in Huang di’s Canon of MedicineIn this part,the main content is analysis and to differentiate the treatment theory method of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine one by one.Result:1.From the historical origin aspects,the Qin and Han dynasties is the period of the formation of the treatment method theory of TCM.Huang di’s Canon of Medicine is the formation and the mature signs of the treatment method theory.Jin Tang period is the precipitation period of TCM theory.Song,Jin,Yuan period is the refinement and concretization period of treatment method theory.In Ming and Qing dynasties,the theory is summarized in the period;Modern time is the standardization of hierarchical period of the treatment method theory.2.From the perspective of generation science research,geographical differences,the influence of witchcraft and religion,the development of science and technology,the deepening of the understanding of the disease,the philosophical and cultural infiltration have an important impact on the occurrence of treatment method theory.The development track of the treatment method theory can be divided into two routes: the technical approach and the theoretical summary.The early inheritance history of Chinese medicine is the continuous integration history of technology and theory system.Huang di’s Canon of Medicine has distinct viewpoints,which gathers a lot of classics.3.Through the textual research of the cultural relics and unearthed literature,the technology method first appeared,which is the treatment measures.As the accumulating of the awareness of the disease,the treatment theoretical method appeared.The treatment method to cure specific illness and symptoms first appeared in the treatment theoretical method.With the continuous development of Chinese medicine,the understanding of the disease in depth,and the theory of the summary,appeared the treatment theoretical method for the pathogenesis,which is called main treatment methods by the practitioners of later generations.In the Spring and Autumn and warring states period,the philosophical thought continued to penetrate into medicine,and formed a macro grasp of treatment,which is treatment thoughts and treatment principles.4.The understanding of the disease can be divided into the longitudinal understanding and horizontal understanding of the disease.The longitudinal understanding formed a hierarchical and level view of the disease,and the horizontal understanding formed the view of syndrome identification.By contrast of<wu shi er bing fang>(《五十二病方》),<yang sheng fang>(《养生方》),which unearthed in ma wang dui(马王堆),and shi ji(《史记》),han fei ci(《韩非子》),drug therapy can be divided into wu gu tang ye(五谷汤液),lao li(醪醴),tang ye(汤液),huo ji(火剂),du yao(毒药)and lao jiu(醪酒),according to the level of the disease.It is necessary to select the appropriate drugs and dosage forms in accordance with the stage and level of disease in clinical processes.By contrast of<bing fang>,which unearthed in zhou jia tai,the cold syndrome and deficiency syndrome first appeared.5.The treatment content can be divided into treatment thought,treatment principles,treatment methods,treatment measures in four areas,which treatment principles and treatment methods are hierarchical points.The principles of treatment can be divided into general principles and specific rule,and treatment method can be divided into treatment theoretical method and specific treatment method.Specific principles and treatment theoretical method is closely related.The treatment theoretical methods for pathogenesis were gradually evolved into eight method of traditional Chinese medicine by the practitioners of later generations.6.From the current limited information,we cann’t determine the specific content and academic thoughts of bian que school(扁鹊学派),and cann’t determine whether zou fang yi(走方医)was the the folk inheritance of bian que school.It is certain that the academic school of use of poison and widely used poisons does exist in the history of Chinese medicine.This school was still inherited in the Qing dynasty,and its academic thoughts are different from Huang di’s Canon of Medicine.The unearthed literature of lao guan shan(老官山)is still in identification and Interpretation,which is hopefully to rewrite the related content of bian que school.7.This thesis initially identified the original connotation,characteristics and applicability through the analysis of the treatment theoretical method in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine,some new ideas about treatment theoretical method are putted forward.(1)Most chapters of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine are discussed about tiao(调)and he(和),reinforcing method and catharsis treatment.And the other theoretical method is only a few words.The purpose of tiao(调)and he(和)is to restore balance,which are not independent treatment method.From the classic discussion about"he"(和)in<zuo zhuan>(《左传》)and<guo yu>(《国语》),to analysis the connotation of"he"(和)in Chinese medicine.(2)Huang di’s Canon of Medicine focuses on reconcile five flavors,and the core is"regulating qi".The core concept is not gong xie(攻邪)and unblocking therapy."Regulating qi"can be divided into regulating the deficiency and excess,upward downward and outward inward of"qi".The core ideology of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine is"tiao"(调)in the initial stage of a disease,and focusing on early identification of the disease.(3)The most discussed method is reinforcing-reducing method,which can be divided into two connotations: reinforcing deficiency and reducing excess,and the other is restore balance,which is for the transfer of own qi and blood.The second connotation of reinforcing-reducing method was ignored gradually.There is no catharsis treatment in the eight method of TCM,which is the general term of diaphoretic therapy,emetic therapy and purgation method.(4)There is a lot of descriptions about diaphoretic therapy in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine,which is less about emetic therapy and purgation method of TCM.Treatise on Febrile Diseases recorded the corresponding prescription.After the development of later generations,diaphoretic therapy,emetic therapy and purgation method turned into catharsis treatment.The discuss about warming therapy is the theoretical origin of the method of "relieving fever with sweet and warm drugs ","the school of warming and reinforcing deficiency "and " huo shen school ".The connotations of the febrifugal method and dispersing method are also discussed in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine,but their names were not yet determined at that time.Conclusion:On the basis of the comprehensive study of the theory of Huang di’s Canon of Medicine,this paper makes a preliminary study on the research of the early treatment of traditional Chinese medicine by examining the related contents of the unearthed literature and cultural relics and the non-medical literature.And this paper makes a depth research on the treatment measures and treatment methods in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine.The conclusions are as follows:1.This paper studies the evolution of the treatment method of early Chinese medicine from the perspective of generation science research.2.Based on the study of generation science research,and through the macro understanding of the treatment theory in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine,this paper sorts out the theoretical framework of treatment in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine.The part of the treatment method and treatment principles was divided into level.In this paper some new views about treatment theoretical method are putted forward.3.The core idea of the Huang di’s Canon of Medicine is"tiao"(调)in early stage of the disease,rather than"gong xie"(攻邪)in late stages of disease.4.Treatise on Febrile Diseases inherited the treatment principle that is protecting the vital qi in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine.Treatise on Febrile Diseases emphasizes use the most moderate prescription to the superficial disease.In this point of view Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Huang di’s Canon of Medicine is exactly the same.Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Huang di’s Canon of Medicine all have the discussion about different levels of disease division,although the division method is different,but the purpose is the same.5.From Huang di’s Canon of Medicine period to the Ming and Qing dynasties,in the perspective of the connotation of the treatment theoretical methods,the treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine changed from the larger extension,which content is not specifically extended to the small extension,which connotation is clear,but the connotation was also changed in the development process.6.From the classification of "form","qi" and "sprit",the effect level of treatment in Huang di’s Canon of Medicine is "qi ",and the effect level of eight method of TCM is "form",which developed in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
