| Objective This paper systematically summarizes the theories of correlation between surface and viscera in Huang Di Nei Jing, which provides theoretical basis for the study of modern correlation between meridians and viscera,so as to better guide clinical and experimental research. Methods By using the method of literature research.According to the four dimensions(physiological connections of meridians, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment)of viscera and meridians, collaterals, the articles related to the correlation between meridians and viscera in Suwen and Lingshu were summarized and analyzed.Based on this, the characteristics of theories of correlation between meridians and viscera in Huang Di Nei Jing, the philosophical and cultural factors influencing the theories, and the supplementation and development of the theories in representative works of acupuncture after Huang Di Nei Jing are refined and summarized.Result The correlation between the five zang organs and meridians in Huang Di Nei Jing has a solid practical basis. It comes from the practice of pulse diagnosis. Both hand and foot veins diagnose the Qi of the five Zang organs. The records of physiological and pathological pulse of the five zang organs are also enriched in detail.Based on the practice of pulse diagnosis, the symptoms of the five Zangorgans are elaborated. Therefore, the symptoms of the five Zang-organs are comparatively consistent with the corresponding meridians, and the treatment is mainly based on the five shu-points of the meridians, especially the Yuan points,i.e.if the five Zang-organs have diseases, twelve Yuan points should be given. The discussion on the physiological and pathological manifestations of the six Fu organs and their treatment in Huang Di Nei Jing is less detailed and specific than that of the five Zang organs. This is reflected in pulse diagnosis.Although Lingshu Jingmai has established the corresponding connection between the six Fu organs and the six Yang meridians,it is not directly related, but mainly through different channels. Therefore, the close relationship between the six Fu organs and the yang meridians is relatively low.The "motion sickness" and "illness" of the six yang meridians have little relationship with the corresponding six Fu organs, and their "illness caused by the body" are all expressed by "illness caused by JIN","illness caused by blood ",illness caused by body fluid"," illness caused by tendon "and " illness caused by vein".It refers to the body surface diseases which occur in the parts along the meridians due to the invasion of evil qi,and seldom involve internal organ diseases.Although Lingshu Jingmai matches the Hand-sun meridian with the small intestine, the Hand-yangming meridian with the large intestine, and the HandShaoyang meridian with the San Jiao for the need of theoretical construction, however, because it lacks the corresponding clinical practical support,it only stays in the words. The stomach disease is treated by Zu San Li,the large intestine disease is treated by Ju Xu Xia Lian, the small intestine disease is treated by Ju Xu Shang Lian, the San Jiao disease is treated by Weiyang, the bladder disease is treated by Wei Zhong, and the gallbladder disease is treated by Yang ling quan. The theories of correlation between surface and viscera have been formed for a long time, which are influenced by philosophical and cultural factors in different periods, such as the theory of "Tian Liu Di Wu ","Twelve of Heaven"," the Lunar Mansions ","Three Yin and Three Yang","Ancient Official System".Their theories have changed, and even deviated from the facts.Influenced by the theory of "Tian Liu Di Wu",the early meridian literature only recorded eleven meridians, and the theory of "Twelve of Heaven" developed the number of meridians from eleven to twelve, while the links outside the twelve meridians were classified into eight extra channels and collaterals. The theory of Three Yin and Three Yang is an important factor that separates the theory of meridians and viscera from reality. The symptoms of the three yang meridians of the hand have nothing to do with the large intestine, small intestine and San Jiao. The treatment acupoints are also located in the lower limbs.Influenced by the ancient official system, the heart is the official of the monarch, and the pericardium takes the place of the heart to suffer evil.It matches the Hand-jueyin meridian with the pericardium, and the Hand-shaoyin meridian is unique. Conclusion: 1.The theory of correlation between meridians and viscera originated from Huang Di Nei Jing.2.From the four dimensions of physiology, pathology, diagnosis and treatment, the theoretical framework of the five Zang-organs in Huang Di Nei Jing is complete, while the theoretical framework of the six Zang-organs is incomplete.3.The eight extra meridians also have the characteristics of the correlation between meridians and viscera, which effectively complement deficiencies of the correlation between meridians and viscera of the twelve meridians.4.The theories of correlation between meridians and viscera in Huang Di Nei Jing were influenced by philosophical and cultural factors at that time, and had certain limitations. |
