Research On Building Cultural Confidence With Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture

The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party points out that culture is the soul of both a country and a nation.The prosperity of culture brings a prosperous country,while the strength of culture creates a strong nation.The cultural confidence is a more basic,deeper and more lasting force in the development of a country and a nation.The cultural confidence of socialism with Chinese characteristics originates from the excellent traditional Chinese culture,from the revolutionary culture and from the advanced socialistic culture,especially on the basis of the excellent traditional Chinese culture with the history of more than 5000 years.Although excellent traditional Chinese culture can not support cultural confidence alone,it plays an important role in cultivating cultural confidence,for the reason that excellent traditional Chinese culture is the deepest spiritual accumulation and the most profound cultural soft power of the Chinese nation.Only by strengthening the excavation and elucidation of excellent traditional Chinese culture,striving to realize the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese culture and cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture,can the ideological foundation of cultural confidence be firmly built so as to discover the spiritual motivation to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Based on the research perspective of excellent Chinese traditional culture,and following the order of “defining core concepts-expounding the circumstances of the times-presenting principles-elaborating important contents-exploring route”,this thesis demonstrates the implication,legitimacy,principles,contents as well as ways of building cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture,forming the systematically theoretical and practical framework of building cultural confidence by adopting such methods as literature research,logical analysis and system research.In the first chapter,the basic problems of cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional culture are discussed.Firstly,from the three dimensions of enhancing traditional cultural awareness,highlighting its value of the times and laying the foundation of cultural confidence,this chapter puts forward the goal and explains the theoretical and practical significance of cultivating cultural confidence with excellenttraditional culture.Document research is carried out around the core elements of traditional culture,cultural confidence and cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture.No work on the topic of “cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture” has been found through document research at home and abroad.However,there are abundant relevant achievements and penetrating insights for reference,which have certain reference value for this study.There are few systematic studies directly related to the cultivation of cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture,so this topic has more space for further exploration.The second chapter elucidates the implication of core concepts and provides necessary analysis of their internal relationship.Cultural confidence refers to the idea that cultural subject forms an affirmation of the own cultural value and cultural vitality and stable psychological characteristics for the cultural object through objective cultural cognition,criticism,reflection,comparison and identification.Excellent traditional Chinese culture can provide useful enlightenment for people to understand and transform the world,and to govern the country,and can offer philosophical thought,humanistic spirit,educational thought and moral idea for moral development.The cultural spirit spans time and space and transcends national boundaries with eternal charm and contemporary value.After the implications of culture,traditional culture,excellent traditional culture,cultural confidence and cultural confidence of socialism with Chinese characteristics are investigated,the relationship between excellent traditional Chinese culture and cultural confidence of socialism with Chinese characteristics is analyzed in depth.The third chapter analyzes the time situation of cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture.Contemporary China still faces low identity of traditional Chinese culture,weak consciousness of cultural crisis,and psychological imbalance of cultural consumption.This thesis expounds the necessity of cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture by analyzing the deep reasons of the problems mentioned above from the perspective of traditional Chinese culture.The feasibility of cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture is mainly embodied in four aspects: the relative independence of culture,the historical continuity of society,the enlightenment brought to us by the CommunistParty of China’s thinking and understanding of traditional culture,and the successful experience of Confucian cultural cluster.These four aspects all prove that excellent traditional Chinese culture is still vital in today’s society and that it is feasible to cultivate cultural confidence with excellent traditional culture.The fourth chapter demonstrates the principles followed in cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture.First,we must adhere to the guiding position of Marxism.Marxism is the guiding ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics.To cultivate cultural confidence,we must firmly adhere to the belief of Marxism.The innovation and development of traditional Chinese culture must be guided by theory of Marxism.Next,we must uphold the guidance of socialist core values.Socialist core values are the concentrated embodiment of contemporary Chinese spirit and the most important element determining the nature and direction of contemporary Chinese culture.Excellent traditional Chinese culture can effectively conserve the socialist core values.At the same time,it must be standardized by the socialist core values in order to truly achieve cultural innovation and enhance cultural confidence.Last,the goal of cultivating cultural confidence of socialism with Chinese characteristics can be achieved only by inheriting the past and the present,integrating China and the West,realizing the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional Chinese culture,and carrying forward the traditional cultural spirit with eternal charm and contemporary value which spans time and space and transcends national boundaries.The fifth chapter analyzes the excellent traditional Chinese culture used to cultivate cultural confidence.Excellent traditional Chinese culture has extremely rich contents,which makes the analysis and screening of excellent traditional Chinese culture more complex.Based on the spirit of Xi Jinping’s important speech,this thesis analyses the excellent traditional culture used to cultivate cultural confidence in three aspects: the first is the contents that provide useful enlightenment for the understanding and transformation of the world,such as the world outlook of “harmony between man and nature”,and the natural outlook of “universal love”;the second is the contents that help with the management of state affairs,such as the governing principles of“people-oriented”,and “the prosperous and contented life of people”,the rule of virtue thought of “exercising government by means of virtue”,and “to keep straight in thegovernment”,and the periphery diplomacy of “amity”,“sincerity”,“mutual benefit” and“inclusiveness”;the third is the contents which offer guidance for moral development,such as the ethic driving force that “human nature tends towards good”,the self-cultivation that “the benevolent love others”,the golden rule that “one should not impose on others what he himself does not desire”,and the self-examination of moral subject of “the extension of innate knowledge”.The sixth chapter explores the realization paths of cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture.First,the Communist Party of China is the leader and practitioner of developing cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture.Next,a full play should be given to the role of school education in cultivating cultural confidence with excellent traditional culture mainly by increasing the proportion of excellent traditional Chinese culture in school education and building the high-level teaching staff to carry forward excellent traditional culture.In addition,family is the starting point for one’s growth.Making full use of the construction of family tradition is an important way to cultivate cultural confidence with excellent traditional Chinese culture.Finally,social practice is of vital importance.We must pay full attention to the market value of excellent traditional Chinese culture and fully integrate the excellent traditional Chinese culture with media so as to promote the external transmission of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
