Research On The Development Of Chinese Women From The Perspective Of Alienation Theory

Alienation is an important category of Marxist Philosophy.We analysis Marx's alienation theory and comb the phenomenon of women's alienation in contemporary China through analysing alienation theory of western feminism.The phenomenon of women's alienation in contemporary China's women development includes the alienation of the female body,labor,consumption,identity,and so on.Thus we can see that the essence of western feminist alienation theory is to criticize capitalist private ownership.Some alienation phenomenon exists since China is now in socialism initial stage but its essence is just a social phenomenon.The system basis of alienation no longer exists as in the socialist system and the essence of the contemporary Chinese women's issue is just how Chinese women makes greater contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and reflects the value of women.Therefore,we need to solve the problem of Chinese women from the whole to the individual at the macro level.The gender mainstreaming is constantly promoted at the micro level in order to improve the status of women and achieve gender equality.We should make our due contribution to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and ultimately achieve the full and free development of human beings.The main content of the article is divided into five chapters.In Chapter I,Marx's theory of alienation and some related concepts are expounded including early alienation theory as the source of Marx's alienation theory,the basic content and essence of Marx's alienation theory and the development of Marx's theory of alienation.First of all,the theory of alienation in the early stage is combed from a philosophical perspective.The philosophical origin of Marx's theory of alienation can be traced back to the theory of alienation of Rousseau,Hagel,Feuerbach and Hess.Secondly,the theory of Marx's alienation is expounded,including the essence of Marx's theory of alienation that is the ultimate realization of human liberation by discarding alienation through the grasp of labor alienation,the development of Marx's theory of alienation by Western Marxism.Finally,it introduces the application of Western Feminism to Marx's theory of alienation.In Chaper ? it introduces the alienation theory of western feminist and analyzes its related contents.This part first elaborates the background of the western feminist alienation theory,including the theoretical and social background,and combs the western feminist theory and the western feminist movement.Then it introduces the understanding of women's alienation of three feminist representatives,Beauvior,Fuhrman and Jagger respectively from their views of alienation.Beauvior embodies women's status of the other in the patriarchal system in her works.Fuhrman reveals the broken existence of women under the capitalist system.Jagger's revelation of alienation is most profound,she directly tores the veil of women's comprehensive alienation.It appeals the criticism of western Marxist theory of alienation,reveals that only individual and group subjects exist in its discourse subject,lacks discourse of national unity and this is totally the different from Chinese society.In Chapter ?,the phenomenon of women's alienation in contemporary China is analyzed in four aspects under the framework of Marx's theory of alienation.The first is the alienation of women's body.The body of a woman beomes an objective object by the alienation of sex,body,and with the others since the initiative of sexual behavior is in the hands of men.Second is the alienation of women's labor.Women can't decide and choose their own labor and their reproduction of labor force is not recognized by the society because of the deep-rooted patriarchal cultural tradition in contemporary China.Third is the alienation of women's consumption.A woman as a social person has been objectified though she is a consumer subject.Women's consumption is alienated as a whole by the decline of rational consumption consciousness and external influence.Fourth is the alienation of women's identity.Women are being lost their identity as the developing of social transformation.There are female elites with collar,female migrant workers from village to city and women seeking male temperament.The phenomena in all respects illustrate that the study of Marx's theory of alienation should be strengthened in order to solve the problem of alienation better,liberate women and realize human beings' full and free development ultimately.Chapter ? expounds the causes of alienation in contemporary China's women.The first one is lacking of women's social subjectivity,which is mainly manifested in the inadequate social environment for the recognition of women's subjectivity and women's own inadequate understanding of their subjectivity.The second one is that female is incomplete social grown-up,mainly manifested in the process of female social participation can not achieve complete freedom.The third one is that women are lost in multiculturalism,including western philosophical thoughts,economic thoughts,political thoughts,cultural thoughts and the influence of Chinese traditional culture on women.The fourth one is that women are shackled in the period of social transformation.Under the circumstances of rapid social development and drastic social transformation,the speed of women's development does not adapt to it.These aspects are the main causes of the alienation of women in contemporary Chinese society.In Chapter ?,it explores the essence and outlet of the development of Chinese women from the reality of China.First of all,it explains the essential difference between Chinese women's problem and western women's problem not only in the social system but also in the similarities and differences of discourse subject and the problem solving objective and way.Secondly,it analyses the goal of women's development in contemporary China.Generally speaking,it is still to achieve women's full and free development.In contemporary China,it finally achieves women's liberation from the perspective of the development of the nation-state.At last,it puts forward the solution from the whole to the individual from the perspective of sublation and abandonment of alienation.That is to strengthen women's subjectivity,accelerate gender mainstreaming,advance and enrich the excellent Traditional Chinese Culture,and improve the structure of social system and mechanism,so as to realize women's value in the great cause of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,and ultimately realize women's full and free development.The main contents of the paper are summarized in the conclusion.This part introduces the main points of the paper,points out the shortcomings of the article and the direction of future efforts,and puts forward some problems that can not be completed in this article.
