Land space pattern and its optimization were very important in territorial planning and in the orderly development of land space.The dominant functional zoning,as an effective way to keep spatial heterogeneity,could drive land space optimization as well.Therefore,the research on the optimization of land space from the perspective of the dominant functional zoning could develop a new idea on space planning with a new angle of view.The overall research purpose of this dissertation was to provide new perspectives and ideas for the study of land space planning.The specific research objectives were to propose and verify the optimal layout model of land and space based on the dominant functional zoning at the provincial scale,and to form a research paradigm of land and space pattern evolution.Thus,it follows the "identification-management-optimization" research roadmap: First,taking Henan Province,a main industrial and agricultural province,as a case study,it identified the heterogeneous characteristics of land space and its functional evolution at the grid scale,and then revealed and evaluated the current state of land space development and the reasonable degree of development.Second,on the premise of maintaining the continuity of each subdivision space and the relative integrity of administrative divisions,the leading function division of land and space at the county scale was implemented so as to realize regional controlling management.The suitability of development,pressure of development,and coupling coordination of development were integrated into the spatial optimization model to realize the optimization and reconstruction of the spatial structure within a province.Above all,it systematically explored a research pattern for land space planning and an analytical framework for the layout optimization of land space from the perspective of the dominant functional zoning.The main research findings were as follows:(1)The land space in Henan Province was characterized by polarized production space,scattered living space,and diversified ecological space plates,so it was necessary to optimize the land space pattern.On the basis of definitions of basic concepts,such as "production,life and ecology" and land space pattern,the characteristics of the land space pattern were systematically analyzed.As one of China's important food production bases,Henan Province owned relatively high proportion of agricultural production space.However,economic development and population growth had led to a continuous reduction in agricultural production space.With urbanization continuously expanding the space for industrial and mining production and especially under the radiation impact of urban agglomeration of the Central Plains centered on Zhengzhou,the production space displayed an obvious directional polarization.Under the influence of various driving forces,the distribution of living space was becoming more and more discrete,and the diversity of ecological space patches was becoming increasingly prominent.The phenomenon of disorderly development of land space was obvious,so it was quite necessary for the optimization of land space pattern.(2)The Production-Living-Ecological space function evaluation model was established and used.It concludes that in recent years while the production function of the land in Henan was on the rise in general,the production function of Henan's main food producing areas,such as the Huang-huai-hai Plain in the east was slowly on the decrease,and the living function of the west was low while that of the east was relatively high.Specifically,the ecological function of Funiu Mountain in the west,Southern Taihang Mountain in the north and Dabie Mountain in Tongbai was rather high.The“initial evaluation plus functional correction” function evaluation model was set up.Compared to the method of single-function evaluation,this model could better reflect the functional service attributes of land space.For a long time,some regions in Henan Province achieved economic development at the cost of environment and the extensive use of resources,which led to a large area proportionality coefficient for the lowcoupling and coordination types of land and space,and the intense pressure on Henan's land and space coordination.(3)Eight leading function zones was divided based on the two-dimensional graph theory clustering method,which laid the foundation of optimized layout of land space.Its application showed that the establishment of the two-dimensional graph theory clustering method could well be used in the leading function division of land space,and it was clear,intelligible and easily to be promoted.On the premise that the relative uniformity of production,living and ecology interior of each land unit and the diversity among the units were guaranteed,this method could maintain the continuity of each sub-area and the relative integrity of administrative divisions so as to make the administrative management of land space more effective.(4)The model which was to reveal the changes of land use in the future was used to simulate the land space under the development inertia of Henan Province.It was discovered that if the current land and space development trend went on,the area of agricultural,industrial and mining production in Henan Province would continue to decline,while the urban living space would grow at a faster rate.The space coupling coordination coefficients would all decrease under the existing inertia conditions.Therefore,Henan Province displayed a higher demand for land coordination,more possibility for the optimal layout of land and space so as to improve the degree of land and space coupling and coordination,and realize better development.(5)This dissertaion not only proposes a new approach for the optimal layout of land and space but also optimizes the land and space layout of Henan Province,and provides a basis for differentiated land and space control.Being different from the current national mainstream land space optimization method,which emphasized the number of indicators and the multi-sector,multi-type attribute layer overlay and merge processing,this optimization path intended to seek the inherent multifunctional coordination characteristics of land space service,attached great importance to the systematic management of territorial functions,and then better optimize the directivity of provincial land space.
