Being green is the foundation of high-quality industrial development,and it advances green development which is also an essential way to promote industrial competitiveness of China.The effective improvement of industrial green efficiency(IGE)is an important way to achieve industrial green development and is also the fountain of driving industrial green development.The key to improve the quality of economic development in the future depends on improving green efficiency.However,China's industrial economy currently has sacrificed huge amount of energy consumption and environment quality for rapid growth of economy.The characteristics consist of high level of energy consumption,high level of emissions,and low level of overall IGE.The main reason is that the ability of improving economy output such as labor,capital,energy and other production factors and reducing pollution is weakened,besides unresolved efficiency maximization,thus the improvement of IGE stays in an obvious predicament.Based on that,this research took IGE as the main research object,and clarified the relationship between industrial green efficiency and industrial green development on the basis of extended Solow model.Besides,the thesis systematically sorted out the factors affecting IGE and hierarchical frameworks,analyzed the influence path and driving mechanism,used the EBM model to evaluate IGE,analyzed the regional and industrial distribution characteristics of China's IGE.In addition,it used the Kernel Density Estimation method to analyze the convergence characteristics of IGE,and used the Markov Chain to study the dynamic evolution process of factors affecting characteristics of IGE convergence and patterns of dynamic evolution.Afterward,it used spatial measurement model and dynamic panel model to analyze the influencing factors affecting the regional heterogeneity and the industrial heterogeneity of IGE,and clarified the factors affecting hierarchical frameworks and driving mechanism of IGE.On the basis of above,this research has excogitated the IGE improvement path by simulating predetermined scenario under System Dynamics model.The research shows that:(1)From 2005 to 2016,the value of China's IGE raised up from 0.322 to 0.659 and also showed an overall increasing trend.The regional feature basically distributed basing on Hu Line,the level of IGE gradually decreasing from east to west,and that trend showed regional differences and spatial agglomeration to some extent.From the perspective of industry distribution,the technology-capital-intensive industries had higher IGE and the labor-resource-intensive industries had lower IGE.There are large differences between industries.(2)From a regional perspective,the analysis results of the dynamic evolution of IGE showed that the distribution of IGE in various regions had an obvious “double peak” shape in 2005 and it slowly disappeared in 2016,which indicated the level of IGE had kept on rising and the gap between high and low levels of IGE had gradually widened.The transfer of China's IGE showed its spatial dependence.The region with higher level of IGE had an positive effect on surrounding regions but region with lower level of IGE had negative effects on surrounding regions.Region with low level of IGE and its similar neighbor were prone to fall into the Matthew effect while region with high level of IGE and its similar neighbor tended to show a convergence effect.From an industrial perspective,the overall IGE in various industries had increased to some extent from 2005-2016.The increasing speed of some industries was higher than others.Technology-capital-intensive industries had a stronger self-lock-in effect,while labor-resource-intensive industries had a weaker self-lock-in effect,and the enhancement of resource-intensive industries was insufficient.(3)From the regional perspective,factors of industrial enterprise scale,human capital and environmental regulation could significantly improve the IGE,however factors of industry structure and FDI could significantly inhibit IGE.The results of the overall regional spatial spillover effect showed that,factors of industrial enterprise scale and R&D investment had positive spillover effects on IGE,whereas factors of industry structure,human capital,environmental regulation and FDI had negative spillover effects on IGE.Moreover,energy structure and ownership structure were not significant to IGE,while energy structure has positive spatial spillover effect on IGE.(4)From the industrial perspective,industrial enterprise scale factor could significantly promote IGE in resource-intensive and technology-intensive industries.Ownership structure factor inhibited IGE in technology-intensive industries,but promoted IGE in labor-intensive industries.Current human capital factor significantly improved IGE in capital-intensive industries,however human capital lag one period significantly inhibited IGE in capital-intensive and resource-intensive industries,and effects on other industries were not significant.Environmental regulation significantly improved IGE in technology-intensive industries with linear and non-linear effects,while significantly inhibited IGE in resource-intensive industries.FDI significantly inhibited IGE in resource-intensive industries.Current R&D investment significantly inhibited IGE in capital-intensive industries,yet promotes it after one period of lag.(5)Results of IGE path improvement system dynamics showed that,if we need to improve industrial green added value and industrial added value,innovationstructure-environmental mode was the optimal path.This mode considered economy,resources and environment develop together,which not only provided guarantee for economic growth,but also effectively controlled the pollution from industrial wastes,reducing the economic loss.This mode helped to change industrial growth mode change from scale,speed,and extensive growth to green efficiency,environmental protection,and intensive growth.From the perspective of protecting resources and the environment,industrial pollution economic loss simulation value of innovation-environmental driven mode is the smallest,thus this mode was the best path.It showed that compared with the innovation-structure-environmental mode,capital deepening would increase the economic loss due to the pollution.In summary,based on system theory,the EBM model,Kernel Density Method,Markov chain,dynamic panel spatial Durbin model,dynamic panel model and system dynamics method were used to analyze the regional heterogeneity of IGE.Integrating the environmental regulations,technology,structure and other influencing factors in IGE,this paper expanded the linear programming dimension into a multi-dimensional industrial green efficiency system covering population,society,industrial economy,resources and environment,using system dynamics models to simulate IGE in eight modes,analyzing the optimal IGE path.Results could provide technical support for improving IGE in China.
