An Exploring The Diagnosis And Treatment Regularities For Medical Records Of Cough Treated By Yao Hesheng Based On The Text Mining Technology

Objective:Starting with the symptoms and traditional herbal drugs in medical records, the author tried to discover the Regularities of diagnosis and treatment of the coughing in Yaohesheng’s medical records by the Text Mining Technology, and to explore the application of this technology in this field.Methods:The coughing records of Yaohesheng’s were chosen to be analyzed by Text Mining Technology:(1) Construction of date warehouse:On the basis of the datebase management using Microsoft Access 2003 software,the autror chose the medical records made by Yaohesheng from medical records datebase,in which the coughing is the main symptom;(2) Texts information extraction and standard:To extract the information of the four diagnostic methods, the use of drugs, the curative effect from the case, to regulate the information by using the form of normal words, and to regulate the symptoms to double-decker level according to the symptom names and attribute, so as to ensure being basically accorded with syndrome differentiation thought of TCM when carrying date mining;(3) Date mining and analysis:Basing date analysis on the SAS 9.1.3 software platform, the author made the frequencies analysis, "symptom" factor analysis, "symptom" clustering analysis, "symptom-TCM" association analysis, "TCM-TCM" association analysis, "TCM" factor analysis, "TCM" clustering analysis and Pearson correlation analysis. Meanwhile,an initial analysis on the therapeutic effect on main syndrome types of coughing was made.Results:(1)The results of "symptom" factor analysis reveal the six frequent syndrome types of coughing,such as External cold invasion and internal dampness-heat-phlem combination Syndrome, external wind-cold affecting lung on the basis of phlem-dampness in constitution internal retention of cold water due to insufficiency of yang,wind-cold invading lung syndrome,wind-heat invading lung syndrome, Symdrome of phlegm-heat obstructing in the lung.It is worth paying more attention to the coughing due to dampness-heat,which keeps a high incidence.(2) The rules of TCM association analysis reveal that when treating coughing, the most commonly used chinese herb medicine is just the main herbs of sang ju decoction and xing su powder.(3)Besides the commonly used herb,which have the indications of dispelling wind,clearing Heat, relieving cough or expelling wind, clearing away cold, dispersing lung-qi and relieving cough, clearing Heat and eliminating Dampness herb have a wider application on treating coughing, for example, Yaohesheng applied Shangjiaoxuanbi Decoction on coughing treatment,which is revealed by "TCM" factor analysis and Clustering analysis.(4) The result of "symptom-TCM" association analysis shows a correlation between some symptoms and specific TCM.(5)Pearson correlation analysis indicates that the complicated relation between " symptom" factor and " TCM" factor shows that the combination of several clinical symdrome types appear frequently,not just single one.(6)Efficacy analysis shows that Yaohesheng could get a positive clinical efficacy on the main symptoms of coughing during a short course of treatment, furthermore, the rate of cough symptoms getting improvement and diminishing in the first subsequent consultation is 88.93%,which indicates the result of data mining is reliable.Conclusion:(1)Data mining technology has such a good prospect of application in the field of medical records analysis that it can pave the new way for the research of TCM syndrome classification;(2)Records text analysis’objective conclusion depends on the reasonable and standard words for symptoms, and the words have to match the rules of differentiation of Chinese medicine. With the increasing of the text data, the classification and standard have to be intensive enough to meet the needs of the differential diagnosis. The results of this records mining depends on them would be more independent and reliable.(4) Common syndrome types of coughing have six:①External cold invasion and internal dampness-heat-phlem combination Syndrome;②external wind-cold affecting lung on the basis of phlem-dampness in constitution;③internal retention of cold water due to insufficiency of yang;④wind-cold invading lung syndrome;⑤wind-heat invading lung syndrome;⑥Symdrome of phlegm-heat obstructing in the lung, at the same time, the most commonly used TCM formula treating coughing are Xingsu powder and Sangju decoction.(5) The symptoms and symdrome of the disease are not always the same, there are inclusive relations between them, it needs to differentiate depends on all the patients’integrated expressions in clinic.(6)Yaohesheng has intensive differentiation and prescription on the coughing, the treatment is therefore quite effective.(7) The true nature and the expressions are both very complicated, the key problem of records mining is how to combine it to the other files related to the disease.
