| The Jinnan dialect is the dialect of Southwest Shanxi province,mainly including the dialect of Linfen’s and Yuncheng’s counties and cities under its jurisdiction.According to division of LANGUAGE ATLAS OF CHINA,List of Maps(2012),Jinnan dialect belongs to Fenhe slice of Central Plains Mandarin.Jinnan dialect is in the middle of Shanxi Jinyu and Guanzhong Dialect,so in terms of vocabulary,it has the gradual characteristics of transition from Jin dialect to Central Plains Mandarin.This paper takes Jinnan dialect vocabulary as the research object.On the basis of field investigation,mainly adopting synchronic description,statistical analysis,diachronic comparison,literature research,Geographical Linguistics and some other methods,the paper describes and explains Jinnan dialect vocabulary in detail,and systematically reflects the basic appearance and overall characteristics of Jinnan dialect vocabulary.The paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,sketching the historical evolution,natural geography,dialect characteristics and research status of Jinnan,and detailing the research content,research methods,research value,corpus source and so on.The second chapter analyzes the vocabulary of Jinnan dialect from the perspective of internal comparison.First,it describes the consistency and difference of Jinnan dialect vocabulary.In this paper,1537 words from 23 survey points of Jinnan dialect are taken as objects,and the number and percentage of consistent words and different words are counted respectively.According to the corresponding data,two conclusions are drawn:first,the internal consistency of Jinnan dialect vocabulary is high.The second is the complexity of Jinnan dialect.Then,it further analyzes the consistency and difference of Jinnan dialect vocabulary from two aspects of several word formation phenomena and difference types.At last,combining the internal and external perspectives of the language,this paper explores the factors of vocabulary differences in Jinnan dialect from the aspects of phonetic variation,language cognition,social history,geographical environment,etc.The third chapter analyzes the vocabulary of Jinnan dialect from the perspective of external comparison.First,compare Jinnan dialect with Putonghua,and explain the differences between them from syllable number,word formation,morpheme order,word meaning comparison,so as to understand the personality characteristics of Jinnan dialect vocabulary.Then compare Jinnan dialect with the surrounding dialects,take Taiyuan dialect and Xi’an dialect as the representative points of Jinyu and Guanzhong Dialect,analyze the similarities and differences in vocabulary among them,and observe the relationship between Jinnan dialect and the surrounding dialects.The fourth chapter makes a diachronic study of Jinnan dialect vocabulary,including two parts:the historical level of Jinnan dialect vocabulary and ancient words.In different dialects,the same item will form the coexistence and superposition of various expressions,which is the inheritance and innovation of Chinese vocabulary in different periods and belongs to different historical levels.Based on the concepts of the bottom of the words and the top of the words,this paper makes a historical analysis of 10 groups of words in Jinnan dialect according to the principles of vulgarity,universality and antiquity.According to the documents and books,the ancient words of Jinnan dialect are examined and interpreted.Each entry includes phonetic notation,interpretation,document examples,usage examples,and discusses the development and evolution of the meaning of words,so as to reflect the ancient existence of Jinnan dialect vocabulary.The fifth chapter studies the characters and animals in Jinnan dialect.Through the analysis of Jinnan dialect character words and animal words,we can understand their naming characteristics and structure,understand their naming basis,highlight the vividness of images,reflect the local people’s cognitive psychology and emotional attitude,and reflect certain social history and culture.The sixth chapter discusses the multi-functional words and their semantic evolution of Jinnan dialect.With the help of semantic evolution model and historical documents,this part studies the semantic development of 10 multi-functional words in Jinnan dialect,explores the process and law of semantic extension,reveals the relevance between semantics,and analyzes the mechanism of its functional transformation.The seventh chapter analyzes the distribution pattern of Jinnan dialect vocabulary with the method of Geographical Linguistics.This part draws a dialect map by selecting 18 words to present their geographical distribution in 23 dialect points.It compares different expressions with surrounding dialects,understands the geographical distribution type of vocabulary,diffusion route,evolution track,etc.,and inspects the relationship between dialects in terms of vocabulary to reflect the transitional and gradual change of Jinnan dialect.From the aspects of historical administrative division,waterway transportation and language contact,this chapter analyzes the factors influencing the geographical distribution pattern of Jinnan dialect vocabulary. |
