Li Ruiqing’s artistic thought of calligraphy inherited and innovated on the basis of the theory of ancient Chinese calligraphy,which created the "epigraphy school" with great influence in the theory of Chinese calligraphy in the 20 th century.His calligraphy is far related to Zhou and Qin,comprehensive Han and Wei,“Zheng Cao Li Zhuan”,all bodies are available.In his later years,his calligraphy "Put the stele into the post ",the style is vigorous,the breath is ancient,is the practitioner who advocates the compatibility of the stele.For a long time,academia has paid a lot of attention to Li Ruiqing’s exploration in calligraphy practice.However,as a phased representative of the development of the Stele School,his calligraphy practice has also been controversial.On the basis of combining with the context of history and humanities from the end of the 19 th century to the beginning of the 20 th century,from the comprehensive perspective of calligraphy theory,calligraphy history research and practical cultivation,this paper systematically explained the theoretical core and structure of Li Ruiqing’s calligraphy art thought.This paper does not aim at the discussion of calligraphy technology and focused on tracing back to the origin of Li Ruiqing’s artistic thought.This paper focused on the basic artistic point of view of his calligraphy theory and the context system of its development.This paper consisted of seven parts,as follows:Introduction.This part of this paper combed the important literature and related issues on Li Ruiqing’s research at home and abroad in the past one hundred years.In addition,it described the research significance,research methods,research ideas and research focus of this paper.Chapter 1.This chapter combed the existing humanistic genealogy in Linchuan Li’s pedigree group,examined the origin of Li Ruiqing’s knowledge structure brought by the family context,and constructed his calligraphy stages according to the historical nodes.This paper expounded the external influence of Li Ruiqing’s calligraphy thought by analyzing the cultural background of stele thought and the historical environment of Confucius thought.Chapter 2.This chapter mainly expounded Li Ruiqing’s aesthetic style with "Qi" as the core.By explaining the "smell" theory of calligraphy aesthetics,this paper explained the connotation and origin of "book style" in Li Ruiqing’s calligraphy theory and practice.In addition,combined with the Confucian ideological and moral point of view,this paper expounded the ideological evolution and inheritance of his calligraphy art theory of "study calligraphy,learn to be a noble person.",as well as the historical interpretation of his theory of " the character is upright,the writing is also square.".By examining his Confucian demeanor and personality cultivation,we can fully restore Li Ruiqing’s "elegant" style and realm and "legacy" style and style after the revolution of the social system.Chapter 3.This chapter was the focus of this article,which mainly discussed three important ideological bases in Li Ruiqing’s The Book break of the Jade Plum Blossom nunnery,and the formal beauty of "distribution by instrument" and its significance in the history of calligraphy.This paper discussed the development and evolution of "seeking division from stone and seeking seal from gold" and its influence on the calligraphy style of later generations.From the perspective of the overall situation,this paper studied the artistic motto of "Full paper in the chest,no complete words in the eyes".Chapter 4.From the perspective of language law,combined with morphological structure and style elements,this paper analyzed Li Ruiqing’s calligraphy art,and concretely demonstrated the practical value and creative characteristics of his calligraphy theory through the language elements of "similar anyway","vigorous" and " ancient ".Chapter 5.This chapter analyzed the phenomenon of group identity in Shanghai academic circles at the beginning of the Republic of China.Taking the viewpoints and suggestions of Zeng Xi and Shen Cengzhi as examples,this paper explained the historical significance of this calligraphy proposition,including the influence of their academic thoughts on the disciples Li Jian,Hu Xiaoshi,Lv Fengzi and Zhang Daqian.It objectively revealed the progress brought by the practice of "enlightening wisdom" in its educational improvement and its academic influence on today’s calligraphy atmosphere in Nanjing University.The conclusion.By summarizing Li Ruiqing’s main achievements in calligraphy theory,this paper comprehensively evaluated Li Ruiqing’s academic value in the development of calligraphy history.This paper attempted to summarize the contributions and limitations of Li Ruiqing’s calligraphy thought and practice from the perspective of the whole history of Chinese calligraphy.
