With the current global warming,environmental protection and emission reduction have become new challenges for economic development.In particular,the energy-saving,emissionreduction and ecological environment protection tasks faced by clusters of manufacturing enterprises with large emissions are more difficult.Green technological innovation helps manufacturing cluster enterprises to cope with the challenge of emission reduction and environmental protection.Therefore,green technology innovation has become a frontier research topic.Green technological innovation is a technological innovation that has a beneficial impact on the ecological environment.Green technological innovation places special emphasis on reducing pollution and environmental burdens throughout the product life cycle,and reducing negative impacts on the use of resources and energy.Green technological innovation has dual externalities that promote technological progress and protect the ecological environment.However,cluster enterprises face some difficulties in the practice of green technology innovation,which are manifested in the weak cooperation and knowledge interaction between cluster enterprises and innovation network entities,the emergence of opportunistic behavior is easier,and cluster companies have difficulty in obtaining the diversified technologies and resources required for green technological innovation.Proximity reflects the organizational,technological,and geographic distance or relevance between enterprises,and is an important analytical perspective for studying the competitiveness of enterprise clusters,because enterprise clusters are the main form of agglomeration economy.The different dimensions of proximity play an important role in promoting knowledge sharing between organizations,reducing innovation risks,and enhancing collaboration among entities.Aiming at the problem of green technology innovation in cluster enterprises,the existing research still lack systematic and multi-dimensional proximity research.In view of this,this research uses green technological innovation,innovation networks and evolutionary economic geography as the theoretical basis,and takes three-dimensional proximity as a research perspective to explore the relationship between three-dimensional proximity and green technological innovation.The research content mainly includes the following four aspects:First,the existing research literature is reviewed,and three key proximity dimensions that are highly related to green technology innovation are identified through the literature.Secondly,using the method of case study,the mechanism of three-dimensional proximity to green technology innovation is analyzed,and a theoretical model of the relationship between three-dimensional proximity and the green technology innovation of cluster enterprises is constructed.Third,use the structural equation model for data analysis and verify the theoretical model.Fourth,the simulation method is used to study the evolution law of the impact of a single dimension and different combinations of three-dimensional proximity on the green technological innovation of cluster enterprises.The innovations of this research are reflected in three aspects:First,the study found three dimensions of proximity that are highly related to green technological innovation,namely,social proximity,cognitive proximity,and technological distance proximity,verifying that the three-dimensional proximity is compatible with clustered enterprises’ green technological innovation.Relevance defines the boundary of proximity in green technology innovation research.Second,a theoretical model of the relationship between three-dimensional proximity and green technological innovation is constructed to clarify the impact mechanism of threedimensional proximity on different dimensions of green technological innovation.The results show that social proximity and cognitive proximity have a direct positive impact on the three dimensions of green technology innovation.Among them,social proximity has a more significant driving effect on clean process innovation and end technology innovation,while cognitive proximity It mainly acts on green product innovation;social proximity and cognitive proximity indirectly affect the three dimensions of green technological innovation through explicit knowledge sharing,and social proximity and cognitive proximity indirectly affect green product innovation and innovation through tacit knowledge sharing.There are two dimensions of clean process innovation;technological distance proximity plays a positive role in the relationship between cognitive proximity,social proximity and green product innovation.This theoretical model provides a research framework for subsequent research on green technology innovation.Third,it analyzes the dynamic evolution law of the impact of different dimensions and different combinations of three-dimensional proximity on the green technological innovation performance of cluster enterprises.The results show that when the increase of single proximity exceeds a moderate range,it will lead to a decline in the green technological innovation of cluster enterprises.The impact of technological distance proximity is the most obvious,followed by cognitive proximity and social proximity.Technical distance proximity has a certain improvement effect on the negative impact of social proximity and cognitive proximity,but the long-term effect is not obvious.When the three-dimensional proximity increases at the same time and exceeds the appropriate range,the promotion effect in the early stage will play a role,and the inhibitory effect will be prominent in the later stage.The innovative research results of this paper have enriched the green technological innovation theory of cluster enterprises and provided theoretical guidance for cluster enterprises to formulate green technology innovation strategies.
