There are many Pan Yao clans in Guangxi,and although their languages are similar,their different living environments have resulted in various Weaving and embroidery patterns.The same Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery pattern may have different meanings in different regions,reflecting the local economic and social culture.The purpose of studying the Weaving and embroidery patterns of Guangxi Pan Yao is to make a comprehensive arrangement of the Weaving and embroidery patterns of each branch of Guangxi Pan Yao,to trace the cultural connotation of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns,to summarize the design principle of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns,and to promote the development and application of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns based on this basis,to meet the development needs of the times.Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns are rich in sources and mainly contain patterns of four themes:patterns of Pan Wang culture theme,patterns of Taoist culture theme,patterns of mountain and farming culture theme,and patterns of industrialization and information era theme.Although the patterns of the Pan Wang culture theme are less in varied,they are the core of Guangxi Pan Yao embroidery patterns.The patterns of Taoist culture theme patterns are mainly on Taoist robe,and the number of mountain and farming culture theme patterns occupy most of the patterns of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery.This paper takes Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns as the research object,takes ethnology as the basis of research,adopts fieldwork method,historical research method,and comparative research method,and combines the relevant contents of design science,summarizes and analyzes in detail the form,color,connotation,characteristics,structure,style and application of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns of each branch.This paper puts forward the response to the problems that arise in applying Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns.Strategies are proposed for the problems of the application of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns,and the future development of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns are discussed in depth.Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns are rich in sources and mainly contain patterns of four themes:patterns of Pan patterns,separate patterns,and connected at four corners patterns.The swastika pattern is the main form of connected four corners patterns.In this paper,we classify the structure of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns and summarize three kinds of methods to design Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns,which provides theoretical support for the innovation of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns.Through analyzing the main color,auxiliary color,embellishment color,and base color of each branch of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns,the color characteristics of each branch of Weaving and embroidery patterns are extracted.The main style of Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns are mixed styles with various thematic connotations.The Weaving and embroidery patterns of each branch of Guangxi Pan Yao have their own characteristics,some in color,some in pattern form,and some in structure,and mastering these characteristics is an important way to distinguish each branch’s Weaving and embroidery patterns.The human figure patterns,seal patterns,and text patterns in Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns,are essential patterns in Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns.Among them,there are many types of human patterns.They are people in certain situations:doing farming work,dancing in festivals,and lining up in rituals.There are all kinds of patterns.Among the seal patterns,the seal of the pan king pattern is the most important pattern,and the seal of the Guangxi Pan Yao pan king pattern is mainly divided into pan king seal of the double swastika and octagonal pan king seal,and pan king seal of the double swastika is evolved from the single swastika pattern.The large octagonal patterns on the Taoist robe and the embroidery patterns on the Pan Yao ethnic costumes belong to two different systems.The stitches used are also different.The animal patterns in Guangxi Pan Yao embroidery patterns are divided into:dragon pattern,phoenix pattern,unicorn pattern,chordal animal pattern,and arthropod pattern.The dragon,phoenix,and unicorn patterns are fictitious animal patterns,and these three patterns are mainly on taoist robe.The dragon,phoenix,crane,and unicorn patterns on the vestments have some connection with Taoism.The dragon patterns on the vestments are in various forms,including five-clawed dragons and four-clawed dragons,which are of complex origin.The dragon pattern and the phoenix pattern are representative patterns of Ao Yao.Among the arthropod patterns,butterfly patterns are widely used,and in some regions,butterfly patterns are associated with the story of "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai."The plant patterns in Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns,are divided into flower and grass patterns,tree patterns,and silver jewelry patterns.Among them,most flower patterns are octagonal patterns,which have rich meanings and are interpreted differently in different places due to different living environments.Flower and grass patterns contain a large number of ready-made lace made by machines,and this kind of Weaving and landscape pattern is a true reflection of the living environment of Pan Yao,while the patterns of architecture,infrastructure,tools,and apparatus reflect the transformation of agricultural civilization to industrial civilization.Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns are widely used in clothing,square design,building facade,interior decoration,etc.The use of these patterns affects people implicitly,and there are some problems in the process of pattern application.In order to change this status quo,it is necessary to digitize Guangxi Pan Yao weaving and embroidery patterns,standardize the use of Guangxi Pan Yao weaving and embroidery patterns,and promote Guangxi Pan Yao weaving and embroidery patterns through multiple channels so that Guangxi Pan Yao weaving and embroidery patterns can get healthy development.With the development of the times,the old development mode of Guangxi Pan Yao weaving and embroidery pattern can no longer adapt to the current development,and the new era has a shaped development strategy to adapt to the development of the new era.In the future,machine-making Guangxi Pan Yao Weaving and embroidery patterns will become the
