Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly discussed the connotation,importance,modern value and inheritance concept of China’s excellent traditional culture.In this context,with the overall research goal of exploring the "contemporary value of traditional Chinese crafts",specifically focusing on the development of Chinese contemporary metal art,the "value " problems are explored.This subject will focus on the development of metal art in China from 1949 to the present,combine traditional crafts and contemporary art,try to locate the connotation and value of its contemporary "metalworking aesthetics",explore the value from the practice and thought of traditional metal crafts,combine concepts and Practice and innovation.This article will use literature review,case study,field research,curatorial practice and other scientific research methods to verify the historical origin of Chinese metal art,sort out the development,and record groups of artists,designers(craftsmen)and representative works.The article will be divided into five parts to discuss the theme.The content is as follows:Chapter 1: Mainly analyzes the historical context of Chinese metal art,starting from its three stages of fermentation and exploration,formation and development,and diversification,and explores its technological origins.An overview of the pedigree and historical origins of Chinese metal art from a global perspective,and an attempt to clarify the development genes of Chinese metal art.Chapter 2: Review of pre-contemporary Chinese metal art.Discuss the advancement and impact of the changes of the times on the development of metal crafts,focusing on the changes of the times,technological innovations,conceptual changes,and market expansion faced by metal art after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.Chapter 3: Based on craft aesthetics,sort out the development of Chinese metal art aesthetics from ancient times to the present,and initially explore the formation of new design language and context transformation of Chinese contemporary metal art from the perspective of contemporary sociology,thereby discussing China’s contemporary "metalworking aesthetics" connotation and form.Chapter 4: Based on the combination of fieldwork and case analysis,try to clarify the society,identity change and creation status of contemporary metalworking artists.Discusses the characteristics and trends of the development of contemporary Chinese metal art from the personal creations of designers(craftsmen)and artists.Chapter 5: By summing up and comparing the development models and paths of developed metalworking in the United Kingdom,North America,Japan and South Korea,etc.,it explores the opportunities and challenges of the future development of metal art in China from a dialectical perspective.Through the sorting and demonstration of the above five chapters,this article strives to advance layer by layer,integrates and integrates the latest research in related fields from the perspective of globalization and locality,discusses the development process and characteristics of Chinese contemporary metal art,and tries to define The concept of "metalworking aesthetics" in contemporary China constructs the cultural and artistic value system of contemporary Chinese metal art. |
