From the official announcement of the first batch of national Intangible Cultural Heritage(ICH)projects in 2006 to the present, whether it is government investment, academic attention, mass participation,or related industry scale, the "fever of ICH"has continued to rise for 15 years and has achieved world-renowned achievements. In addition to the inheritor of the cultural ecology of ICH handicrafts,it is increasingly integrated into the government, academic researchers, modern design and art practitioners, cultural tourism industry operators, consumers and other subjects.Facing the constantly changing social, cultural and technological ecology under social transformation, the inheritance and innovation of ICH are facing more complex choices and tests.According to the "The Convention for the Safeguarding of the ICH"published by UNESCO in 2003,"revitalization" and "re-creation" are important goals of ICH protection.Under the multiple paths of design participation,ICH handicrafts have undergone semantic, functional and contextual transformations in the process of social transformation, presenting a differentiated and diversified ecology. In this context, scholars must research from a more integrated, systematic, and dynamic perspective to clarify the internal logical relationship and collaborative innovation methods between the core value system of ICH craftsmanship, cultural and ecological elements, and design participation methods,to construct a cognitive theory and method system that promotes ICH handicraft innovation. This research is derived from the NewChannel Design and Social Innovation project, based on the key project of The National Social Science Fund of China in Art of the year 2020—Research on the Construction of ICH Innovation Ecosystem Leading by Globalization and Intelligentization. The "traditional handicrafts" in the ICH are adopted as the research object, aiming to provide new perspectives, new ideas and new methods for the construction of an innovative ecosystem of ICH handicrafts with design participation and modern value transformation. This research is carried out based on the general idea of "value layer-cognitive layer-method layer-practice layer".The main research contents are as follows:First,in the value layer, tap the core value of intangible cultural heritage handicrafts under social transformation.Firstly, this research combs and analyzes the changes of ICH handicrafts in the process of social transformation,so as to put forward the complex problems and contradictions faced by handicrafts;secondly, through the knowledge map analysis tools such as CiteSpace and VOSviewer, the research status knowledge system of ICH handicrafts is established, and the clustering and comparative analysis of keyword co-occurrence are carried out to form the cultural perspective of ICH research;thirdly, based on the field investigation and case analysis of Dong paper-cutting,Pengzhou white porcelain and Tibetan engraving printing,a value evolution process of "from physical memory to endogenous creativity, from dispersion and heterogeneity to a systematic organization, from interculturality to collaborative innovation"is formed, which lays the value-oriented foundation for this research;Second,at the cognitive level, this research puts forward the elements and composition of ICH handicraft culture ecology.Firstly, this research combs the theoretical development and practical experience of cultural ecology, and discusses the relationship between ICH ontology and ecology from the three levels of "concept evolution—value connotation—protection and inheritance";secondly, based on the author’s field investigation and questionnaire survey in Jiajiang Paper Village and Daoming Bamboo Village, this research analyzes the cultural ecology status and design participation methods of hand-made paper and bamboo crafts;thirdly, based on the above research, the "two levels and eight elements" of the cultural ecology of ICH handicrafts are summarized, which are ontology level(subject, space, technology, representation)and environment level(politics, industry, services, capital),providing a framework to understand handicraft systematically, holistically and dynamically;Third,at the method level, the innovative design ecology of digital turn is proposed.According to the path of "Deconstruction—Reconstruction—Expression—Regeneration",this research constructs an ICH handicraft innovation design method system composed of "diversification of cultural forms and social functions—construction of cultural space with the participation of multiple subjects—public service and cultural self-confidence—cultural capital and industry driving".Through the construction of this system, the methods and elements of design participation in the innovation and transformation of ICH handicrafts are systematically integrated and reorganized, which runs through the innovation process from regional cultural resources to globally shared values, and forms a circular sustainable development system through "regional revitalization",which provides a method system reference for the innovation ecosystem of digital driven and design involved ICH handicrafts;Fourth,at the practical level, the theoretical system is verified through the innovative design ecological construction of ICH community.Since 2014,the author has continuously rooted in the ICH community, conducted research on ontology value, design methods and cultural ecology, and accumulated rich practical experience in design and social innovation. This research constructs the innovative design ecology of ICH community from the path of "manual production ecology industrial production ecology digital intelligent ecology",which not only verifies the applicability and sustainability of the innovative design ecology of intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, but also puts forward the endogenous driving force in Rural Revitalization and policy suggestions for the developing ICH ecological reserve;Fifth, summary and prospect of this research. In the process of social transformation, the development elements of ICH handicrafts together constitute a cultural innovation ecology of integration and symbiosis; With the participation and transformation of design, the value of ICH handicrafts has been continuously enlarged; It is necessary to establish an ecological mechanism for the innovation of ICH handicraft culture and promote the integrated development of ICH in the two-way dimensions of "history—contemporary" and "region—global".Looking forward to the future, the possibilities of ICH new ecology include digital craftsmen and cultural makers, scene innovation and perception integration, digital cultural community, etc. In general, this research puts forward the core values of ICH craftsmanship, the elements and composition of cultural ecology, the method system of ICH handicraft innovation, from the perspective of design participation through literature research and case analysis, knowledge graph and information visualization, field survey and questionnaire survey, system analysis and interdisciplinary synthesis, and summarized the three cultural innovation ecology of ICH handicraft, and put forward the goal of designing and participating in handicraft innovation in the process of manual production, industrial manufacturing, and possible intelligence and biotechnology innovation. The differences in value propositions, technological paths and challenges provide a cognitive path and method system with reference significance for the goals of mining core values, activating endogenous power, activating cultural resources, empowering multiple subjects, and building cultural communities.
