| The paper made detailed research on the interpretation of Psappha and Rebonds, two solo percussion works of Xenakis which were taken as research subjects. It combined the author’s playing experience and research results at home and abroad. The total paper was composed of four chapters, except the abstract and conclusion. In chapter 1,the personal experience of Xenakis was introduced,as well as the creative background and creation concept of the two solo percussion works. It also discussed how his creation of percussion was influenced by the political environment, cultural background, and knowledge structure.By comparison with other works, the process of creation and development history of the two works were analyzed and summed. In chapter 2,the two works’ creation techniques, work structure(orchestration structure, musical structure, sound structure),and statement and development of the theme were analyzed.Based on the author’s understanding of the two solo percussion works, combined with the creative concept of Xenakis’ s solo percussion works, the author discovered and expounded the music theme contained in the two solo percussion works and the function of the theme in the structure of works.Errors in the publishing score of Rebonds B were pointed out and corrected.Chapter 3 was on the study of performance interpretation. This chapter expounded on the“structure” view of performer interpretation and combined it with the structure view of Xenakis to propose the internal structure and external structure of interpretation with text as the fundamental limit. In the internal structure, the paper focused on the interpretation range of speed, pitch, timbre, and force in the two works to study. In the external structure, this paper studied focusing on the selection of performance space, the positioning of instruments from macro and micro perspectives,as well as the importance and feasibility of the performer’s body movements. In chapter 4,a comparison of deductive versions was studied. The author selected six versions respectively from the interpretation versions of the two percussion works.Using audio visualization technology, the author selected representative passages from the two works to analyze and compare their speed(macro and micro),pitch, and timbre and explained the diversity formed by the interpretation of different versions based on commonness. |
